I think the reason that there is a degree of indifference to his achievements is attributable to the lack of connectedness that now exists between players and fans- I know that's how I feel - I couldn't really care less about his achievements albeit acknowledging that he has been incredibly successful-
 
Anyone watching Lineker's documentary on BBC?

Doesn't surprise me in the least, but Rooney comes across as a top fella <ok>
