there's no way we're paying £1m+ to take someone on loan. Especially when Bridge isnt making their 25 man squad, City would just be happy he's off their wage bill for the season.

Unfotunately, this is Newcastle and that seems like the kind of thing we'd do! Go after Pieters & Cissokho & end up with Bridge!

I would be pissed off if we got Bridge instead of Pieters or Cissokho. Can't see it happening though, i really think we're going for Cissokho.

Wayne Bridge wouldn't get into my Sunday League team... and we've just lost our left back.

I'm sure we can find a 5 year old who can do as good a job as Bridge.

True, why pay somebody for what he used to be able to do a few seasons ago but can't do now. He'd just turn up for his cheque.

For the money he'd want to be at roughly Ryan Taylor standard (in fairness to him) it would be a waste of time.

this fits with FMA's plan of 'pretending' to be in for quality players whilst signing crap or loanees for a fraction of the price...
it's clear as a bell to me that he's trimming all cost to fatten the goose (our club) before he sells it on.
I genuinely believe we will have a new owner this season at some point.

i will hold my breath until anything concrete happens, but i cant believe all the talk about enriques fee being used to find a replacement such ad pieters or cissoko and then we see storys about wasting money on a loan for bridge who is ****e. if pardew does get bridge it clearly shows (if it didnt already) he has absolutely no say in anything

I wouldn't pay a 7 figure sum for a permanent deal for him never mind a loan.
