He knew about it, as far as I understand. Hence he undertook the task of shutting Oswald up. He was a goner anyway.
Dallas is the only place that doesn't have a warehouse for books, it has to have a depository to go with its grassy knoll.
Anyone who doesn't recognise that political conspiracies happen is particularly naïve. It's also the easiest thing in the world to label anyone who asks questions as a "loony conspiracy theorist". The amazing thing is how many people just accept that and make no effort to find out the truth for themselves. We have more public access to the evidence surrounding the JFK killing than at any other time, but people today are fully domesticated. Most have become the passive consumers we were intended to be.
I recently read a book - 'Who Killed Marilyn?' - which offered near-proof that it was JFK's brother, Bobby. Apparently RFK and Secret Service guy(s) were the last to be seen at her residence. Peter Lawford (married to a Kennedy woman) helped cover it up. Well - it made pretty convincing reading, so I'm all in favour of conspiracy theories......
My own two penneth is that the vast, vast majority of conspiracy theories are absolute ****ing hokum made up by ****s trying to make themselves look important and / or educated whislt blathering on about the sheepwalking masses not seeing what is going on under their noses. 9/11 is THE prime example of this. However, the JFK case is different and it's as strong a case as I can ever see that LHO wasnt solely responsible for the assassination.
When it comes to conspiracy theories, my favourite (and I admit there are many coincidences) is the Frank L Baum children's story of The Wizard of Oz. Actually, it doesn't come under the category of conspiracy but it's more of an esoteric comment on US monetary policy of the late 19th century. What's this to do the JFK assassination you ask ? Silver and gold, the Federal Reserve and their role in the value of the US dollar.
I can see how JFK's affair with Marilyn Monroe could have been a political time-bomb for him and it wouldn't surprise me if she was got rid of in the same way Americans liked to get rid of their problems in the 60s. What I don't think likely is that Robert Kennedy was present when the deed was done. I would have thought he would have kept well away with a water-tight alibi.
The book claimed that JFK, tired of MM, had 'passed her on' to his brother. Marilyn was kicking up a fuss about her affair(s) as Bobby tired of her, too. He went with the Secret Service man/men as he wanted to recover her diary (in which she confided in great detail) as it would be a damning document. She was killed by a rectal ingestion of a narcotic (Nembutal?) as it was apparently found in her stomach, etc - but not in her blood-stream.
That's being screened in the UK this week, I'm recording it to watch, I'll give my thoughts after watching it
That's the one I mentioned earlier. I thought it was the most credible I'd heard, but... Unfortunately, a quick scan of t'interweb seems to show it's just a rehash of a 30 year old theory that got the then author sued. The current author can't be sued as the person accused has passed away. It seems there was too many people very close to the car for nobody to have mentioned seeing him with a gun, never mind shooting, plus the people sat either side of the alleged shooter are two of JFK's closest mates, one of whom describes the head shot in quite graphic detail, but makes no mention of a rifle going off next to him. It seems to be a theory with no support at all in the conspiracy community.
other things i forgot to mention; 1. the smell of cordite around the grassy knoll. 2. The guy in the police officers uniform standing at the picket fence before, during and after the assassination, Never traced. Was he acting as a point man? 3. People who had still film confiscated by the cops in the days after 4. The strange deaths of a number of key witnesses eg Gary Bowers 5. Why was the press bus carrying pro-photographers pushed back in parade from the front to the back at the last minute? 6. Why was Ruby allowed to be in the police station basement when he shot LHO?

Do you all get Ancient Aliens over there? One of my favorite shows, complete nonsense of course but hilarious. Its all about conspiracies involving ancient aliens building things like the Pyramids, stuff like that.
The biggest American TV programme over here at the minute is probably Different Strokes. We’re on Season 3 at the minute.
Ellewoods, I was an expert long range shot. I would struggle to hit a target that is moving away from me from that position. The angles do not work for me. I would have set up on a lower floor. Easier and faster exit route, lower angles. I would have preferred to have the target come towards me or to be moving from left to right on a parallel plane. I would have also preferred a grass bank or wall to be behind the target vehicle for referencing. I believe that his first shot missed. His second shot hit the broadest point available, the shoulder area. A secret serviceman fired the fatal shot from his automatic weapon. Two rounds fired were designed for longer range and do not tumble or break up on impact. An extended bullet spins faster for longer, penetration and exit are generally clean. If second shot that hit a JFK had been the same as the first, he could have an intact skull. Small penetration big exit.
I have used a gun quite a lot in my life. You are right the set up is not ideal. If you are an expert you could do it. No doubt about it. The trickest part isnt the shots its the action on that rifle which had a tendancy to stick. To me a proper shooter would have taken more time with the first shot. Thats always your money shot when using a weapon. It isnt that he couldnt have put 3 rounds into the target its the fact that he didnt need to put 3 rounds into the target. One proper shot does the trick, you can leave yourself open for a 2nd but I would never have taken them like that. I think the fact he fired so many shots actually helps the case that it was not a conspiracy. The fact that it was clearly not the proper angle, not the proper set up and to many shots actually should lead you to the conclusion that Oswald infact did comit the crime. A proper shooter or set of shooters wouldnt have fired more than once, it wasnt necessary in an open vehicle from short range. You are wrong about the rounds not breaking up or tumbling. Rounds here are not your standard miltary full metal jackets. We use soft rounds that do break up and tumble. I have fired rounds into deer that hit a rib and had no exit wound from the break up, I cut the deer open and poored the insides out. I have fired a round at a deer that had 2 exit wounds. I have seen bullets with exit wounds a foot off the angle that should have happend. This isnt just talk man, I have seen all of that happen in my life from rounds I have fired. I killed 17 deer my first year that I hunted when I was 15. I have killed over 100 deer easy in my lifetime probably close to 150. There is not doubt at all that the rounds can do what I say. I am not talking out of inexperience I am talking out of quite a large amount of experience in putting rounds into live things. I have seen crazy shots that you would not believe while hunting. I saw a buddy of mine hit 4 running dear in 150 yards of brush with a bolt action rifle and head shoot each deer. I have killed deer at 400 yards while running. I saw my dad shoot a deer with his right hand with a bolt action rifle at 200 yards flip to to his other hand and pop off another deer in one shot while it was running. I have no training at all beyond years and years of shooting guns and neither do the people I just described. The shots arnt that hard to make. Like I said they have documentaries where they set the shot up and the guys do it every time. Unless you want to add al the documnataries that renact the shoots to your conspiracy theory, which I guess you can if you want.
