Wasn't that Rediffusion that you had the switch on your windowsill.
Mam cleaning the front door step on her hands and knees, you don't see anyone doing that now.
Made loads of Airfix kits they still sell them these days but Ive grown out of wanting one.

Oh and having to get change for the TV meter and mam being over the moon when the bloke emptied it and she got a refund

Aye my mam used to use a pommy stone on the steps I can also remember our table always seemed to be set brown sauce, tomato sauce, butter, loaf of bread, salt pepper sugar and a tin of fusses condensed milk.

About 30 years ago I bought an Airfix Supermarine Spitfire. Put it away and forgot about it. About 10 years later and by then married I found it. I thought it would be a good idea to construct it. Told Mrs EJK that’s what I was going to do. And apparently ‘I’ then thought it wasn’t a good idea because of all the paint I’d need to buy.
Jesus I need to go to spec savers I read an air fix submarine spitfire and I’m thinking what the bloody hell is one of those<laugh>

Yes it was Rediffusion, I remember then digging the streets up to put the cables in and a few years later just cutting them off, there must be a few quid's worth of cable still in the ground
