You don't need to apologise fella, cross words will happen, I am sorry if I upset you but I got quite wound up. I didn't understand your angle or relevance to my point which is I think there's a few player especially Watmore who are pushing for game time. I'd never even took Dick into consideration in my thoughts. He's got time as far as I'm concerned to get to know his squad. I ready to drop it at Raws intervention but than a mod came in and tried to belittle me and I blew my top. So I apologies for dragging it on to a point that you had to wake up to it still on going. I've not really spoke to you much on here and was unaware of your age so I'm promise you your age had no baring. Just a debate where the wires got crossed and went to far. It's over as far as i'm concerned fella. The different planet thing was in regards to the confusion at the heart of our discussion. I should have worded it better. Something like 'we're on different planets here'. I'm happy to leave it and I wish you well fella.
I know you have fella, I've seen it countless times by the same mod. I think he gets too drunk to even find the posts that trigger the altercations tbh.
I don't have any problem with any Mod jumping on me if I'm out or order and I like this one tbh However, I do object to my retaliation being seen as unjustifiably attacking people. It's one thing for sad dopes like The Relic but Mods need to be Mods first and drunken posters second
I like the lad too but he's really got my goat here like. There one thing I hate in life and that's being disappointed with someone you respect. I need to be wary around him now. I wouldn't never have considered having to do that before last night. I'll be keeping my distance from him on here for now.
I think the mod in question had a bit of a howler getting involved the way he did but I'd rather mods who try to keep the peace and cock up every so often than mods who do **** all. Obviously it's easy for me to say that as I wasn't the one told off but that's just my thinking on the matter.
As I say these things have nearly always got a way of sorting themselves out..I had a feeling that drink was involved with Relic (probably through experience of the things I've posted while under the influence), as it was not like him at all...However, I would not be too hard on Defoe in a Row as he is sound as a pound, and although I disagreed with him on this, I do believe that he meant well...And remember..The mods do this for nowt and without them we would not have a forum to post (and/or fall out) on..
No need to do that Funky. It should all be water under the bridge now. Defoe comes across as a really good lad and a great poster and just as passionate as you. We should all be able to get annoyed with each other but then shake hands and move on, especially after a few sherbets too many. So no avoiding anyone!
http://www.not606.com/threads/sunde...ocaats-replacement.295075/page-2#post-7731270 To anyone who didn't realise 'The Relic' has form for taking pops at me without any reason, here's another recent example. I wasn't on that thread either, except one daft post, and certainly didn't address him. Yet, like the coward he is, and has again demonstrated on this thread, he's snide enough to sideswipe someone when they're not looking. I'm happy to 'move on' but for some reason he's obsessed with me and keeps bringing me into threads I'm not posting on ....... someone should have a word and tell him to stop spoiling threads & attacking people for no reason, something he's always happy to accuse others of.
I think he's sound mate, hardest grafting Mod on here and Sunderland fanatical, but i've seen him giving it to Smug when he's done **** all and this has happened numerous times. I expect this time with me to be the last.
Bagged another goal. U21s edge Southampton Published: 06 April, 2015 by Matthew Shevlin Beadling, Watmore and Buckley strike in 3-2 win. Sunderland U21s 3-2 Southampton Sunderland's U21s survived a late comeback to run out 3-2 winners over Southampton at Eppleton CW. Tom Beadling, Duncan Watmore and Will Buckley bagged first-half goals in a dominant opening 45 from the Black Cats, but they were made to sweat late on thanks to strikes from Jake Hesketh and Ryan Seager. The Lads’ side included first-team regulars Buckley, Vito Mannone, Adam Johnson and Sebastian Coates and they made a flying start to the match. Beadling opened the scoring from the spot after just five minutes; confidently dispatching the ball past Gazzaniga after the Saints keeper brought down Watmore inside the area. And the Black Cats doubled their advantage three minutes later – Johnson’s inch-perfect ball evaded the visitors’ defence and although Buckley’s initial effort was blocked, Watmore was on hand to bury the rebound. Watmore was a constant thorn in Southampton’s side and the winger almost had his second moments later when a low strike deflected wide. The hosts continued to dictate the flow of the game with skipper Liam Agnew stinging the palms of Gazzaniga with a 20-yard drive. The Saints had to wait until the 20th minute to carve out their first opportunity as a searching delivery from Josh Debayo was met by Ryan Seager, with the striker’s header glancing just over Mannone’s bar. The Black Cats grabbed their third on the half hour mark, with Buckley deflecting a misplaced backpass from Jason McCarthy past the helpless Gazzaniga. Sunderland almost added to their lead before the break with George Honeyman and Agnew both going close, but the visitors were rejuvenated following the interval and Mannone had to be on hand to deny Hesketh shortly before the 60-minute mark. Watmore, however, continued to trouble the Saints’ defence and almost grabbed Sunderland’s fourth in spectacular style, beating three defenders in a mazy run before firing just over the bar. Southampton spurned a golden opportunity to pull one back after Jake Sinclair was put through by Hesketh. The striker, however, blazed his effort over the bar. Moments later the Saints did get their goal, as Hesketh pounced on an error by Beadling and looped the ball into the net via the outstretched hand of Mannone. The goalkeeper was forced into action again on the 70-minute mark, saving well from Seager as the visitors began to control the game. Watmore was again denied by Gazzaniga five minutes later after a sloppy pass from Bevis Mugabi put him one-on-one with the keeper. The Saints were handed a lifeline 15 minutes from time when Sinclair was brought down by McNamee, allowing Seager to send Mannone the wrong way to ensure a nervy finish for the hosts. Southampton made a strong effort to grab an unlikely point in the dying minutes of the game, with Seager going closest with a lobbed effort that drew a fingertip save from Mannone. However, the Black Cats were able to hang on and secure a crucial three points. Sunderland: Mannone, Cartwright (McNamee 55), Robson, Agnew, Coates, Beadling, Buckley (Gooch 72), Smith, Watmore, Honeyman (Greenwood 76), Johnson Subs not used: Purvis, Wright, Southampton: Gazzaniga, Mugabi, Debayo, Gape, McCarthy, Wood, Gallagher, Hesketh, Seager, Sinclair, McQueen Subs: Sims, Britt, Barnes, Cook, Olomola
I know this is a Watmore thread but we don't have an U21s thread so **** it Have some more marra. Everything U21 related from the safc youtube channel from the last 6 months. There's more on safsee too but you can't post them on here.
Way too good for the level he's playing there. Looks like the club has wasted a season of his development. I don't see any benefit him playing to a level that's beneath him. Should have been our on loan.
He'd be playing in a much more competitive environment and playing in front of crowds, essential at this stage of his development imo. Can't see him getting any first team game time given our predicament. Unless Dick try's something radical.
One of the reasons we find ourselves in this predicament is the clubs lacklustre approach towards the academy of light.. It's set up for the youth to come through to the seniors but we rarely even see a player getting a run in the first team let alone on the bench.. Apart from Henderson and waghorn it hasn't delivered as of yet.. Does this come down to having a ****load of managers the last few seasons who haven't had the balls to give the young blokes a chance? From what I hear and read we have world class facilities, so that's not a problem.. I could have the best ride on mower in the world but if I don't know how to use it the lawns are gonna look dog ****. I just hope next season we have the right manager in place to exploit all SAFC resources.
