This, We don't have to sell, he is under contract, we can charge 50m if we like and there is nothing Watford or the players agent can do about it. Moyes stance on Kone was clear and I don't expect him to change that for Kaboul.
What sort of signals are we sending out to other clubs. I don't see the rest of the clubs in the premier league having this unsettling carry on. Do we really need the money so badly we are possibly selling our top players. This Watford thing, although it may well be rubbish, came out of the blue, as did the Kone thing to be honest. Can Watford just come out with this without any contact with us. Isn't that tapping up a player or have we indicated that they can go ahead with this deal. Is it (probably) the agents? Our spend so far is about £12 million but I don't know what we've received for any of ours going like Giacc, Vergini or Bridcutt. We've lost lots off our wage bill. This tv cash bonanza is having negligeable effect on us so far. We simply can't let Kone or Kaboul go and we really shouldn't rely on getting by with old boys like Arbeola(?) and Pienaar (and almost, Zog) I know we're lagging behind because of Sam going but this is turning into a nightmare window. I'm sick of not hearing about M'Vila or any automatic, quality, first teamers and I'm sick of all the speculation about losing our best defensive pairing for over a generation, also, for well below what they're worth. So there!
Well it doesnt look like hes in talks with Watford. He done this interview today. http://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2016/august/younes-kaboul-on-boro
It's all a load of bollox. Moyes has said we need players in. The media just hate us and love unsettling our good players. There was a link Defoe the Arsenal the other day. It's all a load of ****.
Aye, when Steve Bruce was in charge IIRC. It was something to do with Darren Bent or his promiscuous daughter I think
Another one is off the wage bill with Jordi Gomez joining Wigan permanently. I don't know if any transfer fee was involved. Bridcutt has joined Leeds permanently (yesterday or Monday)
A couple of players so bad that I wouldn't be surprised if we literally gave them away. There can't be many more left now that needed selling.
Just noticed on sky that man city have spent well over £150 million not counting the undisclosed fees. They have sold players but altogether, less than £10 million. I don't know where the ffp fits in with this but our spend of around £13 million minus the sales of Giacc and others looks tiny in comparison. Are we really so hard up?
That we've progressed to the point we have desirable assets? Questioning the club because people are interested in our players is harsh. When you have good players, other teams will be interested. IF we sell him, bitch away, it's valid and must be questioned. But not for something that's come from the press surely. It's not out of the blue neither. This link is now 6 days old. They were linked last Thursday. It's in no way out of the blue marra. Tapping up players?Think you're reading far too much into this. How many players do the press claim are in talks before a bid is accepted. If you're daft enough to believe everything the press says than every club is making illegal approaches left right and center. Press have to make the link sound Juicy. Reality will be much closer to Watford making an inquiry or a bid. If you're sick of a couple of players being linked away god help your nerves if we become a midtable club. Sounds like it's just you punishing yourself and winding yourself up rather than anything the club has done. Chill mate. The Press are swines wanting website hits to make more money. They don't care if there's any truth. They take 1+1 and make 6 just for entertainment value. I don't think Kaboul is going anywhere, especially for that price.
£120m in debt according to the last published accounts. One has to hope last season's TV deal paid off a huge lump of that.
As I stated before what the accounts show in the PNL is not a true refection of the situation. What did our balance sheet say? how much of those losses were carried over from previous years? What are the financial projections for the coming years. The bottom line is our owner is worth about 2 thousand 4 hundred million (in 2015). 120m is pocket change for him, if he wanted to he could pay that off tomorrow, but there is good reason not to do that.
Go and have a look. Debt was up 17 million on the year before or something like that. GO AND LOOK YOURSELF. Bit sick of folk barking questions at me all the time. We've all got google. ****ing get it used. I'm not you're skivvy
I see his point. Published accounts don't declare everything so you never know the full truth. But figures are published so we only have what the club tell us to go on. Saying it's wrong but not offering the truth is pointless. Twice he's done it now. He doesn't seem to grasp we only have the available figures to go on. By our last published accounts have us 120m in debt, he can say it wrong and offer nothing to back it up till the cows come home, we're still 120m in debt according to the figures the club has published.
I apologies if you thought I was "barking" it was not my intent. I have looked Bri, The PNL shows a loss of 25m for the year ending 2015. 120m is the net operating expenses. Looking though the annual return and the accounts shows me that Short is using the loss's the offset against other things probably in his other business's you can see that from the way the share capital is structured. In conclusion, our financial state is about what I would expect and I don't see us in any financial danger at all.
