I do not wish to think about al the coming in and going out. I hope Matěj Vydra is sick and no more.

Diamanti warming up, looks like he will come on shortly. Yes he is on full Holebas.

0:0 again. After so many matches without a goalless draw we now have two. Compensating this Watford are on the longest unbeaten run ever in the Premiership, eight years.

Insipid. Toothless. Lucky to get nil. Down to the tactics not the players although Jurado and Behrami couldn't find an incisive pass if we paid them to... erm :emoticon-0138-think

    Another draw then!

Just lacked the quality in the final third - crossing was appalling at times.

Clearly didn't fancy Abdi or FF to come on and change the game.

    Defence really solid again.

Sorry, but I thought that was pretty poor. We've played two teams now at home that we could have beaten, yet showed no real signs that we could. Solid in defence and midfield, but a real lack of creativity going forward. Might just have well played without TD and OI, although not their fault. Deny in particular toiled away, but was feeding of scraps.

Extra practice needed on: beating the fullback, crossing and taking throw in's.

Going to interesting next week against a rampant Man City <doh>

You showed a lot of fight, and stopped us from playing. Or maybe we stopped ourselves from playing, dunno about that. Either way, you're hard to beat, which is half the battle when it comes to staying up.

Even more so if he is here instead of Abdi and FF.

I blame Alan Shearer...on the first MOTD he said there would be few games where we wouldn't score this season, since then 0 goals!!
Seriously...we were so pedestrian, the formation we play needs us to move the ball quickly and support Troy quickly but neither of these things happened. I know we are only three games in, but I worry that our coach (tactical genius he is purported to be) either cannot see or won't see how to change it. Like the last game, today was crying out for us to do something different 3-5-2 anyone?? What was the point in making the second sub so late in the game and it being like for like unless he didn't want to win the game. With the correct personnel (who we have in the squad) and formation we could have beaten Southampton today, we have probably the best player(abdi) who can create things on the bench with the game crying out for his vision, instead as Fez says we were lucky to draw.
Today Koeman won the tactical battle and we ended up playing long balls up to Deeney with a maximum of 1 player in support ever.

I don't want to be down, but we do not look like scoring and pumping long balls up to Deeney when he is marked by two huge centre halves will not and has not worked, you have to try something different Flores!!!

38 points will probably be enough to stay up and so it has not been a bad start from you.
Nobody wants to go to a 0-0 game at home though, whoever you are playing.

    What wins matches? Answer? PACE
Flores insists that Vydra or Forestieri are not playing because they have to fit into the pattern and play midfield.
Then at half time with Abdi on the bench he puts on a clearly unfit Diamanti who has no pace, keeps leaving his man and pointing to where he should be, leaving Anya to break his balls and mark 2 players as well as get forward.
It appears to me the manager has favoured Diamanti - he was initially allowed to sit on the last schoulder effectivly playing as a forward. Their right back took advantage and double teamed up on Anya at left back. Eventually he was told on more than one occasion to mark up but he was so slow. He does have some good touches but if I was Abdi, Vydra or Forestieri I would be pretty upset. Any of those 3 would have won us both of the last 2 games.
I did enjoy the game but I am not happy :( :) I can't get rid of the happy face :(
