Of course they are. That's a pretty big yard stick for most of us, and whilst that pisses some of us off, losing to them in the next game will be even worse regardless of what Ipswich are doing. WS needs to sort out the defence ****ing sharpish.
I do agree he was a little bit slow to react today - though I do think that was because we had a super unbalanced bench.
Was the defence at fault today? I thought it was the light midfield, to be honest. The defence handled the game well.
I pointed it out because it hasn’t happened in a long time. Someone else said they’d get stick about it from Pompey fans he knows. Haven’t seen anyone being hysterical about it or claiming it means anything in the grand scheme of things….
Defence/Defending. Doesn't matter. Either way we haven't kept a clean sheet in the league yet. That's really poor
Agreed, that's why I said pre game I thought it was daft to not have Sesay available for this match when the new mush wasn't available.
Not to disappointed. I thought the overall performance is heading in the right direction. We were overpowered by the substitutions and we never did anything about it. Baz was caught flat footed from the free kick.
In the season we went up, Preston were 3rd after 12 games.....they ended up finishing 10th. Using the table as any sort of "yard stick" at this stage is insane.
Yes, it's only August and no need to panic and I am sure we will get much better and we will be challenging at the top. Doesn't mean we can't be disappointed with the first 4 games though.
The Watford free kick was class, nothing Baz could do there. If we're talking about poor goalkeeping I reckon Baz should have saved their first goal 9 times from 10.
If you reverse those games and we are home for the two draws, definitely. But the only real disappointment so far has been losing to ten man Stoke. If Caspar is as good as his fans say he is, I think we will be very hard to play against soon.
