Sounds like the full-backs were quite influential going forwards. Bodes well for the switch to 3 CBs when they have full licence.
Just what I thought. If anyone was offside I couldn't see how he would have been interfering with play. Time for a straw poll. Is Stroud gutted at making a mistake? If he is what's the mistake? Getting it wrong although it looks as though it was the lino's fault? If you believe that you must believe that he is a purist and a perfectionist. Or gifting the team he hates more than anyone else the points? My money is on the latter. He must be sick as the proverbial parrot.
I doubt he hates us. He’s just consistently incompetent. Totally bizarre decision much like the one we had ruled out against Sunderland last season which was he also ref’d if I recall correctly. That aside I don’t think he did a lot wrong. Thought at the time Dickie was fouled for their second but probably not.
It's hard to tell what happened there, I'm not sure why he would just fall there unless fouled, dieng was flying out of his goal which might have put dickie off
Just home. One of the most fun and enjoyable matches I have ever been too. Yes it helps when we win. Every single person in a Rangers shirt (fans too) gave 150%. I will not slag off a single player, everyone was immense....but Chair and Willock were unplayable..amazing....can we get to Wednesday without an unbelievable offer coming in for them. Their first goal involved a Watford hand ball, which was not seen, but I have no idea if their equaliser was offside or not as we were the other end of the ground. We rode our luck a bit...Seny cleared a ball outside the area and was lobbed which hit the bar. But their second goal was a farce..of our own making. So we deserved to win, by having the three best players on the pitch Willock, Chair and Laird. Johanssen and Dozzell had their best matches this season too Unc Albert came on scored the goal but also introduced an old head to the game...he knew how to win it. Armstrong knew what to do too...he was not brought on to score a goal...he was brought on to steal the ball and stick it up his jumper. I actually think we have the makings of a really decent squad...when Richards, Roberts, Clarke Slater.....new left back I hear we are looking at...and 1 or 2 from Villa....I am feeling very optimistic. Enjoy Saturday night lads. Xx
We're doing a major upheaval with our lives, downsizing the house, doing a deep refit on a property, all part of the exit strategy to retire.... so most Saturdays are taken up with planning kitchens and shower rooms so can only follow remotely via WhatsApp group.... feck me what a result.... Will enjoy watching highlights later... a few g&t's have been consumed.... You beautiful R's
Once again I have to shuffle on here and say well done Good luck for the rest of the season apart from the return against us.
Had to re-watch a few times to spot that. One of those that is infuriating when given against you, but it happens to us often enough so we have to take it when it goes our way. Great three points to get!
Cheers Cologne, really would like to meet you one day... You are really a smashing Chao...and a proper football fan. Xx
Blimey we've got Slater ! The most despised copper in the parish. We can't lose now, he'll fit up all the opposing players on duped up charges and we'll win by default. Happy days
From wfc forum, yeah that's Watford that European powerhouse of football "QPR always raise their game against us as they see us as a major scalp for their little club. It really is David vs Goliath tomorrow and we all know how that turned out. Yes QPR love their pretend rivalry with us and who can blame, we are a massive club compared to them. Very much how you see those minnow teams in the European competitions, you know, the teams no-one has ever heard of, yet every year they take down a big fish for one game. They go and make video tapes about it and it’s a story for the generations to pass on. That will be QPR against us tomorrow. They will be so up for it against us simply because beating us really is the equivalent of winning a major trophy in their eyes."
