Cantwell not making the 20 is believed to be a "selection decision" according to Michael Bailey.

I guess when you're not playing a 10, Dowell is more than enough cover for that formation on the bench. Surprised Rowe was preferred though.

Seems to me like Smith isn't impressed by him.... Could be a long way back for him

At the start of the season I think everyone expected him to be our biggest creative influence, taking on more responsibility and looking to better his goals/assists tally from last time around. Such a disappointment this season.

I really expected big things from him this season, I thought he would relish the opportunity to step out of the shadow of Buendia and become our key player. There is still talent there

I have to admit though after watching the training video he did still seem off it somewhat, I think he’s a better player than Dowell but obviously Dowell is training better

As I think it says on the walls of Colney "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard".

Sarr missing (AFCON?) makes me a little bit more hopeful tonight.

Pleased to see the vote of confidence in Sorensen too, thought McLean might come back in.

Apparently Cantwell was seen on the pitch before the game, despite not being in the squad.

"Deep in conversation" with Liam Bramley, a newly appointed first team coach.

Cantwell is seriously in danger of being another name in the football history books who messed up his own career by being impatient and sulking.

He’s no longer going to get a club above top of the Championship. He’s going to have to rebuild his reputation before he plays in the Premier League again. When he could have just got stuck in and enhanced his marketability, all for a year more at Norwich when he’s still really young.

If he doesn’t pull his socks up and get picked for our team, I doubt he’ll be in the Premier League again until he’s 26/7.

Looks like McLean is on subs bench in place of Cantwell, Bachman let in 4 goals against West Ham & Leicester earlier on this season. Watford's last win on the 20th November against a 10 man Man Utd when Mcguire got sent off. Sarr who scored twice against us at Carrow Road not playing due to injury.

Foster not playing for Watford due to Covid (just seen a retweet by Michael Bailey of EDP on Twitter)
