Wenger needs to bring Giroud and Coquelin on.

Also looking forward to having Giroud, Perez and Iwobi fully fit so we don't have to do this Theo/Oxo thing.

What formation are we even playing now?

Wengers subs have always been suspect.

Holding has actually been the better of out two CB's today. Koscielny has been suspect.

Ive only been able to watch the last 15 minutes but Holding has looked really good - using realky good positional play to cut out crosses in the same way Merts does when he's on form.

    Elneny has also looked good

    Good first half..mediocre second.

    Overall good result.

Holding and Xhaka were both good. Sanchez is looking closer to full fitness which is a good thing.

As Bear says - Good result.

Shame we made such hard work of it in the end but i felt we controlled the ball quite well in the last 15mins, just worried at the ease Watford managed to get from their box to ours!

Good win. Let them come back to it and took our foot off the gas halfway through the 2nd half (granted their goal was such BS) but closed it up and saw it off. Good 3 points. Got 2 new bodies in for the next game. Bring on Southampton in 2 weeks time.

It's good to get our season underway finally with a win, and by the time we have our next game then Giroud will be up and running, Perez will have been training with us for 2 weeks and should hopefully be up to speed, Mustafi will be available and we could even have Ramsey and Iwobi back. So we'll be in a much better place, squad wise.

Watched the highlights on MOTD - our defending for the Watford goal was ridiculous - it was like a bunch of clowns!

Yep poor defending, and after that went in we gave Watford an incentive to get back into the game. But overall we looked pretty good. The first half performance was very slick, Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott in particular looked really sharp. Particularly encouraging to see Walcott playing well, if he can stay fit and maintain form, then he's a really dangerous player and he'll be a very useful addition to our attack . Remember I said if ......

Holding is looking fantastic though. 91% passing accuracy today.

The kid is tall, strong and technical. Already pushed ahead of Chambers and possibly Gabriel too.

Yep really good player. Great for him to play alongside Kos too, who is now one of the best CB's in Europe. I can understand Wenger's frustration with the media over spending (although he's now spent some money anyway) when he told them that nobody wants to talk about Holding because he didn't cost £40m
