Maybe the Beeb is better? David Moyes's first game as West Ham manager and 500th in the top-flight ends in defeat against a hugely impressive Watford side.
Excellent win and generally very good performance. Broke with pace and some great passing - Hughes and Doucourae outstanding. Gomes did wonders when called upon.
Kevin Kilbane Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live Before the game I was asked whether or not it affects players when their manager is linked with another club. My answer was, 'of course it does'. But we have not seen that from Watford today. I have been very impressed with the way they have approached the game.
Helps that we were the only game on or did you mean Sky coverage today? They had Ighalo I believe.. 2 of our players in Gareth Crook's team of the week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42047394
He's a bit of a plonker is Garthie - stating that Silva should go to Everton and that we replace him with Pardew. If Pardew 'still has a lot to offer', why can't he go to Everton?
What a cheek Crooks has (my italics) Watford are enjoying their best start to a Premier League season under Marco Silva and that has created tremendous interest in the manager's ability to take ordinary teams and make them considerably better.
Gomes saved us at 1.0 from the highlights I've just seen. Good to get back to winning ways. I was very pleased when I got the text through Sunday that 3 points were in the bag!!
