Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, present delivered! I thought our first half was good, lots of passing and good movement from the back but it seems once we get the lead we just fall back and defend rather than get more goals. Have to say we are better at seeing games out now but it's nerve wracking. Swansea being my second team I hope they don't get relegated.
Agreed...... I think we are better than this.... and we could have had a more open second half...... BUT the big 40 ... AND the big 64 COYH!!!
Not impressed, but a strange looking team, some very sloppy passing from both sides. You youngsters should be able to stand the stress better than me.
Job done - Swansea didn't create much. Holebas and Mariappa very good. Had a few efforts but seemed content with the 1-0.
OFH don't know how many years u have been a 'orn but I reckon you can handle it. It comes with the colours. But we must look forward now. Many unanswered questions but some great possible future talents and lots of hope. Enjoy your easter one and all.
I had Final Score on and the way they saw it, for the whole two hours, was that there was only one team playing at Vicarage Road today and it wasn't the Hornets. Watford got hardly a mention, OK Swansea are fighting to save themselves but to be outscored on all the statistics and still appear as the more important and superior team is a bit galling.
It will have to be at Hull next week - can't see us even getting a shot on goal for the five matches after that... The not-so-merry month of May.
I had final score on TV without sound that was ahead of the stream I was watching, which in turn was a good minute ahead of Jon Marks. It all becomes very confusing when you are not sure how much longer the game is going to last.
In the GT years I think we would rarely have been happy with a 1-0 Shame as i do think a different type of game suits us.............. Just heard some good reflection by Motty... yes we are SAFE
Flat game, flat atmosphere but the all-important three points gained. Hardly a classic but target 40 achieved!
Probably the dullest game of the season, Amrabat fairly ineffective. Okaka livened things up a bit. I don't like the constant whinging to the ref from Amrabat and Okaka after being tackled. The most action was taking off and putting back on jacket, hot sun then chilly intervals.
And finish better too... But, all maths aside, the reality is that both Swansea and Boro need to win all their remaining matches to send us down - assuming we lose all ours. Ain't going to happen. By the way, Man City only need to bang in 13 more goals in the last 3 minutes for us to move up to 9th...
