I totally agree but honestly think Short did not get the Moyes he was after.
Moyes needs some CBT talking therapy - it's highly rated - he's so low on self esteem.
Infact should go on sick leave and his contract torn up - not fit for purpose -
Maybe its fanciful and not very likely but he's at Sunderland and unexpected things happen - I 'm very much <steam>ing

That's the end of my draining hope. Pointless again against a poor out of form team. Apart from Palace (now looking like one of footballs freak results) we are 7 games goalless - before them, 2 cup games without a score, with a consolation goal against Stoke between them. JD can't create his own. If the midfield/wide players can't provide, aren't they capable of kicking a football hard in a chosen direction in return for the salary which they claim they are worth when signing? Or does Moyes and the coaches order them only to try to direct everything to that one option.
The players have no desire. If they did , they'd be looking at todays results and seeing competitors on the up and getting points -- and they should be asking the question, how does a team **** enough to lose 4-0 to us, galvanise themselves to becoming winners and then go to Chelsea and win there ?
5 wins from 9 games? No chance. 5 pts from 9 games? Can't even see that. Be lucky to get 5 goals.

Well I've maintained all season we had enough to stay up....but no longer.
We've just virtually capitulated against a poor Watford side with no recognised strikers in the team.
As has been said Moyes just cannot galvanise these players at all, they look disinterested at best and have not been given any sense of direction from the management team.
Moyes had had his chance, and some, and he had failed to inspire both the players and the fans, so I think its time he went and Short should take the financial hit.
I've no idea who could take over but it has to be done, I can't see us getting any more points under Moyes and I fancy we will get pasted on Tuesday.

I'm sick to my stomach as to how this season has panned out, but it was probably one season too many when we flirted with the fat lady.

So he's looked like he deserves a place in the side this season on what you've seen of him? He's nopever looked like he wants to fight for that place everyone says he deserves. He's no worse than Januzaj or Borini... But, from what I've seen, he's also no better. He's out of breath today after 10 minutes on the field. Blowing out of his arse

Yeah it's called lack of match fitness mate which you get from...playing matches.

And the reason he was sweating is because he was actually running around closing people down. I reckon let him start a few games and we'll be more dangerous in attack. Remember last season when he was really good? Well it's the same player.

David Moyes explains Wahbi Khazri's exclusion from Sunderland side and his role in relegation battle Khazri has not started a game for Sunderland in 2017

    PHIL SMITH

It was around now, in 2014, that Gus Poyet made his fateful intervention and brought Connor Wickham back from a loan spell at Leeds.
Poyet was struggling to find goals in his squad, Steven Flecther injured, Ignacio Scocco a flop, Jozy Altidore struggling, Fabio Borini playing better as an inside left. Recalling Wickham, who had not scored in five games in Yorkshire, was an act of something close to desperation but after three appearances without a goal, he would go on a streak that would save Sunderland from the drop.

The situation this season looks even bleaker, and the lack of firepower as stark. Jermain Defoe remains the great hope but around him there has not been the service or the spark. David Moyes would have been hoping that Jan Kirchhoff's return would be a big boost, making his recurrence all the more devastating. Victor Anichebe and Lee Cattermole may yet return, but not for a while yet. So where can Moyes find that lift from, as Poyet did with Wickham? Many of the Black Cats faithful still retain hope that Wahbi Khazri can be the man, having impressed last season but struggled for meaningful game time this season.
He has not started a game since the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal last October, relegated this calendar year to a bit-part role from the bench. So why has Khazri been unable to force his way in to a struggling side, one so clearly short of creativity and presence in the final third? Is it because of Khazri's training pitch performances, or what Moyes has seen on the pitch during his admittedly limited appearances this season?

Moyes said: "A bit of both. "I told Wahbi right from the start that I needed him to retain possession. "He is the type of player that I need to either score me a goal or make me a goal. "And the games where I have put him in, he hasn't done that for me. "I need that to happen." Moyes is hopeful that Khazri still has a role to play in Sunderland's battle against the drop. The Sunderland boss is adamant that there has not been a fall-out with the Tunisian, or that he has a problem with his attitude. He has even said that he can forgive a limited work-rate from the 26-year-old if he can be more decisive and influential in front of goal. Khazri has not scored this season but if he could force his way into the side, his delivery from dead ball situations could also help a team who have suffered badly in that department so far.

The midfielder has not been able to change Sunderland's fortunes coming off the bench in recent times but his boss has seen some encouraging signs. He said: "A little bit better. [Performances] "I need to see if I can find a way of using him so he can help me. "His attitude has been good – he's fine, I've no problem with him, there's been no fall-out whatsoever, nothing like that. "I have told him what I think he needs to do to be in the team. "I can put up with other things – maybe he is not always the hardest runner or worker – but he can't not make me a goal or score me a goal. "That's what I need him for."

So Borini and Januzaj have been making and scoring goals as well as taking cracking set pieces, therefore justifying their place in the side?

Borini and Januzaj have played a total of 2683 minutes between them this season and have 1 goal and 3 assists to show for it. Khazri has played 512 minutes which are usually when we're already ****ed and he's just put on to kill a bit of time.

It's not that Khazri is brilliant it's that the players who get picked ahead of him do **** all but still start every game.

How come? Cos my opinion is different to yours?. As I say on this seasons showings he's looked no better than Januzaj or Borini. No worse either mind and I would've liked him given more game time too but I haven't once seen him bust a gut to prove Moyes wrong. And I can't work out why he's knackered after ten minutes? I coach kids who run the day lights out of themselves who don't get tired that quickly

If that's aimed at me then y need to re-read my posts. I said on what I've seen of Khazri then he's n better this season than Januzaj or Borini. I also said he's no worse. I don't think Januzaj or Borini should b playing on current form (although I think Borini is totally bereft of confidence. That doesn't make you a poor player) Januzaj is a luxury player and would be an asset if we were mid table. Completely pointless where we are. If Khazri believes differently to what Moyes says, when he gets a chance, no matter how small, he should try an awful lot harder than I've seen him try this season.

If Ndong doesn't start on Tuesday then Moyes should be assisted from the club. But Short has told him he's staying no matter what!! By all means give Khazri a starting role too. He can't be any worse that what we've seen

This is just more rubbish coming out of Moyes' mouth though. The player needs game time in order to make a contribution and he's not getting that. Januzaj doesn't retain possession but he gets picked every game. Khazri's barely had a sniff but gets criticised for not retaining possession. Bonkers.

In the last 2 games when Khazri came on we created more opportunities. Khazri and N'Dong should be certain starters - end of.
