This is so true. Marriner refereeing in the Prem is unacceptable. I would have agreed with that. Hard to assess the game really. Fonte MOTM for me however I would think many centre backs will have a chance of MOTM against Deeney!!!. Romeu looked sound, Wanyama and Yoshida looked pretty good until the final 10. Targett is not ready yet and is not being helped. Pelle is the best 'chestcontrolling' CF in the league but completely wastes it when he tries to then (i)Score a worldy, (ii)do his 50th flick on to nobody in the game (iii) play a personal best pass that he has never ever achieved in 150 attempts in hiss back yard. So frustrated with Pelle. When he keeps it simple he is awesome. Chest down bring players into the game there is no-one better in the league....but he rarely takes that option. We are badly missing Schneiderlin's calming influence and him controlling the tempo of the game, as well as his positioning sense when we are being attacked. We are going to get pummelled if we keep leaving the centre outside of the box empty when teams attack down the wings. They cross it in, our defence heads it away and there is noone in the same postcode so invites the long shot. This has happened several times in the first few games and is worrying. I don't have any answers though. We lost probably the best player we have had in years in the summer and we are seeing now just how good he was!!!
