Some sympathy for him now..as people are reflecting on the abuse he has been getting..and I could hear the Baahs etc from the pompey fans during the game
Well, that was a somewhat more robust afternoon's entertainment than we're used to seeing at The Vic on Boxing Day! Usually it's as if they're still digesting the previous day's turkey dinner: all a bit bloated, lacklustre, and uncomfortable. Yesterday was like watching a relentless Boxing Day action movie! Thrills, spills, comedy, action, incompetent police, good guys, bad guys, and everything inbetween! They'll be talking about this for days. Could this be a pivotal win? Had we won like that away from home then I would say it was. Riding our luck a little, getting the rub of the green from the officials (though I don't think it was by any means one way as the oppo would have us believe) Watford kept at it and were much the stronger individually with that extra bit of class. Jebbison Not convinced that he will be given enough chances to break his lack of confidence - two very poor "efforts" on goal. Baah The Wilfred Zaha School of ****housery graduate with a bit of TD9 sprinkled over. About time we had someone like him in the team. Maybe temper it slightly, KB! Vata? Looks the real deal. Celtic have dropped a bit of a clanger letting him go for silly money. Louza? Seems to be rejuvenated, I certainly hope so because on his day he's a maestro conducting the orchestra.I Overall it is great to watch. A team of ball players with a bit of steel! Pollock is surely a future captain? TC managing to create a synergy to the team not seen since The Cisco Kid was in charge! The only blot is the away form. Get that sorted and we'll really be in business.
I guess that could apply to TC as well really. Interesting that he saw fit to have a swipe at the behaviour of the Watford bench "throughout the game" - without elaborating. To compound his woes, he may find himself in trouble for his comments about the ref and linesman. ‘Why would I care what Tom Cleverley thinks?’: Portsmouth boss dismisses Watford counterpart's criticism
