A rather enjoyable game really - would have been even without Vata's goal. We fully deserved the three points - and Pompey deserved to lose on that second half masterclass of time wasting. Commentators gave MoM to Louza - but Pollock shaded it for me. Like a rock at the back - again...
Straight red too by the looks of it - for something he did off the pitch/after the final whistle? Three match suspension wont go down too well with TC
From the WFC site: Confirmation that Kwadwo Baah did receive a second yellow card at some point after the winner... We will update on that when we know more.
Flash scores app shows it as a straight red, as does the BBC. I hope it's just the one - we should manage without him against Cardiff, but will need him against Sheffield U.
Depends which offence it was. The taunting of Pompey fans after the final whistle - I'm not sure that immaturity is an offence in football - or did he have a go at their manager or players in the tunnel?
Did anyone think that Jebbison did enough to stay - or should his loan be cancelled? Personally I think he didn't really offer much, so wouldn't be worried if he was sent back to from whence he came. Having said that, TC seems to like him so he'll probably stay and come good. On the topic of loans, young Jack Grieves started for Ross County today in their match at Dundee - his first appearance for a while. He managed the assist for the first of their three goals, played for an hour and apparently impressed.
Jebbison did well to create that early chance for himself. He won the ball, outpaced the defence, then weakly shot the ball straight into the keeper's arms. He ran around a lot, but there is little else to say about him
The "referee" booked Baah AFTER the final whistle as the players celebrated next to the GT Stand, and he was obviously delighted to do it, it was the longest and fastest run he did all afternoon Is it me or is every ref getting worse game after game the longer our home record goes on
Yes, saw him yellow card Baah followed by the red so 1 game only. Ref gave a pen that was outside the box although obviously close and the defender allowed him to make a decision. Ref later didn't give a pen when Vata was tripped, at least that's what I saw live. Also failed to give a straight red to their guy for a shocking tackle. He was very close to loosing the game during the 2nd half. I did enjoy the game though. And lastly, what has got into Louza? How many years has he been with us now? I have never seen him play with such commitment both with and without the ball his last 2 games. Let's hope his form continues.
TBF even Cleverley said Baah was silly to do a dance (never heard of it myself !) in front of their fans but then they were probably giving him a bit of stick . Yes his assistant gave the penalty. Lucky I guess but then they are the decisions you will get without VAR which no one wants ..
With the transfer window fast approaching perhaps he's trying to impress for a fatter contract elsewhere?
We’ll never know but he certainly seems happy here . I see more allegations about what was said to Bash to wind him up so much has come out but who knows if there is any truth to them . Only got a second yellow for the “dance “ Seems to have got their fans really irate though .
