That went well!! Although to be fair, all three officials were making baffling decisions all through the game. This was a 0-0 all day long until the ref's intervention. Any other Watford fans have any ideas how Paredes keeps getting picked?
there are not many good point that comes out of this game but this is one less of the top sides we have to play also the owners may ask the manager is he sure that one or two new faces on loan till after the play offs ? good luck to norwich but i hope this is the last time we play you this season
A rubbish game that was heading towards the 0-0 it deserved until weak refereeing and blatant cheating intervened.
Fair point on that but it was a poor decisions for the penalty. Mind you our reaction wasn't good and overall we didn't test you guys enough. Was very much looking like a stalemate TBH.
I agree wholeheartedly about the penalty, I thought the ref had a very poor game, he was very much a homer in the first half, I could see us going down to ten at one stage, but he more than restored parity in the second half. I don't enjoy winning in such a manner but I have to be happy with three points from a team that I really feared!
Why did you fear us Dave? We have such a poor record against the top teams that we are far away from deserving automatic promotion. We can dispatch teams that let us play, but when we come up against a quality team that has obviously done its homework on us, we struggle. That to me points to the coach/manager with no plan B or ability to change tactics when it matters. Yes obviously the penalty was a wrong decision, but what about the other 89.5 minutes? Did we do enough to win? From the remarks on this thread, not enough even to score. Our problem will be, should we reach the play-offs, is that unless we play Brentford, we have little chance of progressing beyond the semis.

I feared you because you have been on a run, it looked as if Joka had sorted the team out, you could easily have taken advantage of some shocking refereeing in the first half, maybe the fourth official pointed out his first half bias and he over-compensated, he was close enough to have seen our Wes went down very easily!
