I wonder if it's related to a combination of missing preseason, losing his dad and what seems to be a chronic injury,
I haven't said Martin is hopeless at CB, my assertion had always been that Whittaker was hopeless and Martin should be moved over to cover him. I will also add that long term I would see Ryben as a more natural choice than Martin. As for the Adams blame bit, we go back to it because under him Martin and Whittaker (granted without Bassong) couldn't defend for toffee. And I made reference to your comment about Martin as a CB. I think it's contextually relevant! I can see what your saying, why kick the poor guy now he's down and out/in changed role? because he was out of his depth and made all those guys look less than they are as players. Whether it was tactical, motivational or something else he couldn't get the best out of any of the players, certainly as a team! Look at Whittaker and Grabban, good management and they are both looking very capable at this level. Enough though, things are too good at the mo to be dwelling on negatives, bring on Blackburn and the binners! Bah!
These situations are much more complex than you make them out to be GM, but as you say, "Enough though, things are too good at the mo to be dwelling on negatives, bring on Blackburn and the binners!"
