At least we gave them a game. If it wasn't for Foster, it could have been a higher score to be honest.

3 losses on the bounce, this was the "best" one. :(

This type of spirit shown today is needed in the upcoming games as we are in free fall in the table.

    HAve a goodun all!!

7 shots on target per commentators, same as City.

    Proud Hornet tonight.
City are a class act no doubt so we should not be down and hopefully we can take the positives from this.
Till the next time, thanks for the banter all.

    1. 'Our own Big Ben...'

Watford boss Javi Gracia: "We will always fight, that's our mentality. We competed until the end, I am happy. It's good for us to compete with City.We knew it was very demanding for us. We have to work hard all game and try and have options at the end. At the end you saw them wasting time, we have been close to getting a result but they are a very good team - they deserved to win. Ben Foster was great, it is no surprise to me. When I came to London I thought Big Ben was in the city but no, he is in Watford for us! City control possession but we have been organised. We try to press higher but they are very good, very dangerous."

    2. City nice to watch - not play against...

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster: "We would have taken a point, you're not wrong, and it was close. Fair play, to go 2-0 down against a world-class side, but we kept going and didn't let our heads drop. I'm proud of them for the effort. It's Man City, you know you're going to be on your toes. For any team to get anything against City you need your goalie to have a good game. It wasn't meant to be. City are relentless, they keep going. It's nice to watch, not so much to play against."

Last couple of visits Watford have stood off us and allowed us time and space
Tonight I thought they were tactically sound,we created very little for all the possession and Watford stayed in the game.
We play so open we will always concede some chances,it’s crucial to take those opportunities as we aren’t great when defensively under pressure

Well least we had a few shots on target ..

    That is a step forward!

Naturally were generally outclassed and Foster kept the score close but good to see we kept going and didn't cave in.

We were a bit too sloppy on the ball in midfield maybe missing Capoue but Quina did well I thought

Defence had a tough time as expected but stood up ok .

Up front Deeney did his usual physical stuff but they dealt with it well until Kompany went off and we were more of a threat .

I thought we missed Capoue too and the amount of times we gave the ball away...but the last 10 mins were fun!...just back home at 1am after leaving work in Nottingham at 4.30. Glad there aren’t too many evening games in the Prem!

Disappointed, PP’sleftfoot. I thought we’d agreed you would leave your best players at home? You are a cad, sir.
