Agreed. At points the atmosphere was as good as the Spurs game. One point to note, the Man U fans were terrible in the second half particularly as they were winning the game. Possibly the quietest I have heard any away fans for a half in the past 3 years.
Were they humming 'silence is golden', I couldn't hear a thing from the EJ. I've still not heard from my Spurs mad grandsons yet about the game, most unusual.
Seems like the Man u squad had a bit of bother afterwards at the station: https://strettynews.com/2018/09/16/...s-waiting-on-train-from-london-to-manchester/ Over zealous autograph hunter...
I assume that you have seen The Independent article: Plucky underdogs Manchester United hold on to end Watford’s perfect start and secure victory at all costs https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...ray-smalling-goal-report-latest-a8539601.html
Hmm what can I say - to come away disappointed to come away with nothing at all shows how we played. The first half we weren't great but even up to their first it was relatively even - they wasn't causing us too many problems - I think it was 1 good save each up to then. The first goal seem to rattle us a little bit and probably could have been a 1 or 2 more down. The 2nd half we came out strong - I do think it helped Man U parked the bus a bit and were looking to counter. We played some really nice stuff at times and certainly no-one could complain if that Kabasele effort went in. As for the ref - i thought Dean had a poor game. Defenders climbing all over our attackers and the one time he gives us the free-kick he blows up for half time before we can take it. Also that arrogant strut as he walks out for the second half! I also noticed the difference from him and the Palace match. As soon as we scored our goal, the ref was onto Foster about time-wasting and he was constantly on at us about taking our time with restarts - Dean was nothing like that with Man U!
I know that - just more the inconsistency of the refs when it comes to time wasting, and maybe a different attitude depending on the team.
A brilliant article if that report had been aimed at Watford we would have boiled over with righteous indignation As it was aimed at Man U and the manager in particular it shows how far we have come in the last few seasons and how good Gracia has been for us and hopefully will continue
Shame we lost, after watching the highlights on Watford's website we were unlucky at the end not to get a draw. Random side note: Love our kit.
I do too - said before that if you make a a radical change it needs to look good and it really does. The United kit on the other hand...
