Either way, you’re being pedantic. Even £300,000 wouldn’t be the biggest loss in the grand scheme of things, and you’d never sign a permanent, consistent, goal-scoring Championship striker for that money.
No oned blaming rosienor for yesterday But allsop is just **** Watfords finishing was like a nfl field goal Every shot went above the bar Also watford are playing out their skins for cleverley Also cleverley being a manager makes me feel old
But this isn't the game to criticise Allsop, after conceding at his near post yes but not after a clean sheet. Watford finishing may have been awful but you can't blame Allsop for that.
to be honest though with 3 games to go it's good that we aint one of these please log in to view this image
watfords last 6 games they've drawn with city drawn with ipswich drawn with preston drawn with west brom drawn with leeds and lost to 99th min winner to southampton
Allsop - it seems to be a social media thing the supporters at the match seem to like him Penalties - this seems to highlight we are poor at set pieces from goal kicks, throw ins, corners, free kicks and penalties
Supporters at the match like everyone. I used to go and sing about Steve Bruce then come home and call him a fat ****.
It’s still money wasted on someone many of us said was a ridiculous signing in December when it was announced he was joining. We’ve wasted a not insignificant amount of money and FFP headroom on crap in the last two years. Woods is on 5 figures a week as well and he’s been here two years now and been ****ing useless. Sinik cost £4 million in transfer fees and is also on 5 figures a week. The whole club, not just Rosenior, need to get the summer transfer window right.
If i was 7ft 2 300 pounds of pure muscle I wouldnt call allsopp **** to his face Why? Cause its nasty and unnessecary
Well yes if we want to compare it to things like that rather than, I dunno, the average wage in the Championship or what other members of our squad are costing us!
that backheel save really was good, he got down so fast best save of the day by far please log in to view this image
We're wasting a lot more money in a lot of players than Sharp so it's probably not worth fixating on. As OLM has already pointed out, as far as January signings went, the cheap gambles failed, and the more expensive signings by and large came off and delivered the goals we needed.
There isn’t a professional football club in this country that doesn’t have a player that’s a waste of a wage, most have several, it’s the nature of football. Our January additions were a mixed bag, Carvalho and Omur absolutely fantastic (Pandur yet to come), Giles and Zaroury were okay, Ohio and Sharp were a waste. Fortunately, the costly ones were in the fantastic and okay categories.
Add all of the ridiculous signings, wages, agents fees and its probably getting on for what we paid for Pandur or even Omur... or more importantly, a really god down payment on Delap...
And if we could be perfectly efficient with our transfer spend and only spend money on good players and not spend money on bad players we'd be the best club in the country, because every single club wastes money. It's good that (outside of Sinik and Woods) the majority of our 'misses' have been at the cheaper end.
Too much criticism again my opinion If sharp scored a winner with his ass or small toe yesterday he'd have been worth it He was a relatively cheap 5 month signing Every club makes **** signings
