Seri, Slater and Morton are all very lightweight and poor defensively. It’s a glaring weak spot in the spine of our team. We are too easy to play through. If Rosenior doesn’t trust Simons to be ready again this summer, he needs to sign a midfielder similar to Yokuşlu, Kayembe, Morsy etc. to play in one of those deep midfield positions because our midfield off the ball is ****e without one.
Was working and just caught the last 25 minutes or so. A game of football threatened to break out towards the end. It was the ref show up to then. So stop start. It just makes for a poor spectacle.
there's also a lot of positives our starting 11 outside of jones, tufan and seri, none of them are older than 24 very young team i alluded to earlier, some games in the championship are scrappy stop start games, and that vardy type who can poach from 8 yards it'd be nice to have a replacement for seri for these type of games where we dont dominate the ball traore and doc just aint it sharp 3 years ago would have been great overall, enjoyed the season big summer rebuild
If Norwich or West Brom lose all of their remaining games, we need to win two and draw one – minimum. If either draw both of their remaining games, we must win all three. If both get one more win it's done – there's no overturning those goal differences.
A good entertaining game of football, ordinarily a good point, I thought when Greaves was through this was 'it's written in the stars' moment' to win the game, but not to be.
It seems like no one wants the automatic promotion places. All four teams at the top have decided to drop points when they could have cemented promotion.
Overall, performance not a disaster. Watford were better than expected. However, I still maintain that we should go for the higher amount of chances in a game, rather than the higher percentage. I feel that this has been our downfall this season in regards to goals scored and killing teams off. Particularly with the attacking quality we have had. If we want to go up, we need to score more goals. That may mean concede more, but so be it. Speaking of conceding, we do need to replace the goalkeeper. And stop doing these needless short goal kicks!I am yet to be see the point of them as they rarely lead to goals and only invite pressure. I’m repeating myself, but it reminds me of when a new manager comes in (in any sector) and feels like they have this innovative idea, while the experienced ones watch on and shake their heads. We might ‘only’ be fans, but it doesn’t mean we can’t see right from wrong. Anyway, Coventry is now a must-win, isn’t it?
To add to my point, Jacob’s chance was a hopeful attempt, but we nearly scored from it. If you rarely shoot, you rarely score.
Go back and have a look at the transfer thread at the start of the season, we have signed the next Messi and Ronaldo, nailed on Premier league players... Then go to the january transfer thread we've got the pick of the bunch the best loanees... I think we've under performed, others can think other things.
At least now that our season is over I don't have to **** about with **** transport options to get there for the ridiculous 8pm kick off for our last home game. It's a dead rubber so I'll give it a miss
4 penalities.....3 MISSED....5 points dropped......Story of our season, unfortunately. The difference between a playoff spot and also rans...
Its like that every week..Some on here had us winning easily today !!!!!! I saw a 3-0, a couple of 2-0s and a 4-1....Yeah, like hell.
Back in 2013, Louis Suarez scored 30 goals for Liverpool in all competitions, but he was actually incredibly inefficient, with a non-penalty, on-target shot-to-goal conversion rate less than 10%. It turns out, Liverpool were so good at creating chances that year, that almost any decent semi-efficient striker could, in theory, have scored as many as, if not more than, him. Goes to show how having players that create chances – and not just players that can take them – makes the real difference.
