I think his attitude and his stats (his end product, assists & goals) aren't good enough for a top team. He got found out at United and if he gets another chance he will be found out again.
Its one of those things, Sanchez for example at Arsenal was a superb player and yet so far in his short Man Utd career has not delivered. Zaha has the ability but Palace play him to his strengths, Its that that makes the difference. At a larger club he will have to play to their system which could nullify him as a player from what he is at Palace.
having just sat through a turgid 45 minutes trying to assess what we will face in the next two games I must say either Watford or Palace could easily have been 2 nil up against Man Ure or Spurs
Knowing us, next week we will beat the team that are second in the table. The game after that we will lose to a team in the bottom half. As for Zaha, i get the sense that he prefers to be a big fish in a team like Palace but can't cope with not being special in a top team. He has the talent but, as Chris says, not the attitude.
What an awful defence - let's hope we turn up for the whole game this time as there is a chance to beat them . What is the betting we have a player sent off or a soft penalty given against us now after all this Capoue stuff. Spurs will be pointing it all out to the officials before hand telling them to protect their players.
What are the odds of us losing to Reading (that is nailed on to stop me seeing anther hornet game in the next round) drawing with Spurs then beating Man u ?
so they could give us 6/4 for reading 3/1 on the draw and about 5/4 for the Man u game if i was in the uk i think id take that
that is just over 40/1 (2.4x4.3x4) I have a family member that has over 30 accounts with the major bookies . I might ask him to put a10 on for me i just checked oddchecker and Bet 365 have reading at 14/5 (3.8) draw with spurs 17/4 (5.25) and win for us with Man u at 10/3 (4.3) that 85 to 1 The cup game will be on 90 min so we will go out in extra time
I’m not a betting man! Just trying to help - don’t put your mortgage on it! (The Reading odds I got were for going through, not the 90 mins)
Capoue is not by nature a dirty player, he just got his timing wrong for once as does every player. Having said that he did remind Zaha that was a marked man
I agree with that - if it was anyone other than Zaha there wouldn't have been such an outcry. Was still a shocking challenge though!
Yet at the match it was so innocuous that none of the crowd thought much of it and there was not much complaint from Palace players. No trainer required, no damage to sock etc. Having seen the reply it's difficult to argue against a red due to the dangerous intent but I want to know what he was thinking, was he expecting Zaha to turn and for him to get a foot in on the ball? Then realised and tried to pull out? I don't know but the contact was clearly light thank god.
Yeah sorry - totally agree as my comment was based entirely on the replay I saw rather than in real time. I think it probably did just look really bad and was mistimed rather than anything more sinister. Let's hope so anyway
