We got a point, should have had 3, but I suppose in the end it was a fair result. Entertaining game I thought, but when are we going to get a goal? I thought set up at the start was promising but when Hughes and Pererya went off we lost our intensity.
Thanks for your company, probably won't be joining you for the next few games so someone else will have to commentate Off down to Wales and Dorset for a holiday.
Game of 2 halves - we dominated the 1st but let Palace back into it by sitting back more although generally our defence was better .. 2 up front worked for a bit but Okaka run out of steam and Deeney faded . As for Zaha - well he made a rod for his own back by diving in the first half! Although wasn't sure it was wise for Doucourae to react when already booked! Probably draw was a fair result in the end.
4 points from Bournemouth/Swansea/Huddersfield/Brighton/Stoke/Palace/Burnley and Southampton at home isn't very good really.. . It's a wonder we are staying up!
I’m not so sure about a draw being fair. The stats would indicate something like a 1-0 win. 1st half we completely dominated. Their first even half-attempt was in the 37th minute. We really needed to go at HT 1-0 up. Agree with us tiring especially Okaka 2nd half. Thought that was the best atmosphere of the season and the Palace fans were relatively quiet. A game full of incident, not enjoyed a 0-0 like that in a long time!
You are 100% right we should have won 1 nil and because of that we should ask Cologne to put it down as a home win 1-0 .that will help us get a better total ,Not sure if many of us would have put us down for a draw but i put us down for !-0 LMAO
Yes we were in the Sej stand up near the Palace end and it was really good to be a part of the chanting and clapping.... Mind you the Palace fans started very strong. As for the game... very much heart in the mouth at times in the second half when they almost scored. Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
Palalce fans going potty about the reputation of Zaha - well he doesn't play for a big team or England so the press will hammer him more than lets say Kane or Ali. Whilst he might have been fouled for the incident he got booked there had been a couple of previous incidents when the guy didn't help himself!
Apparently he posted a picture on Instagram with his foot in a protective boot - but it's about the only thing I've seen about it. No bad thing really... and wouldn't mind Gray playing the last few games - preferably in a front 2 with Okaka A for the game. Thought we were very strong in the first half and unlucky to not go in at least 1-0 up. 2nd half Palace had a very strong 10-15 minute spell but other than that, they didn't really threaten very much. We probably deserved to shave it 1-0, but can't really complain at 0-0 if we can't score Defence looks much stronger with Cathcart and Kabasele at the back, so hope we keep it like that for the last 3 games. We needed Kabasele's pace... imagine if that was Prodl or Britos against Zaha! Speaking of which - his yellow card was probably a penalty but it still looked like he made a meal of it - which is his problem. If he went down 'naturally', he wouldn't have this rep. The first half one he goes down looking for it, the one on the edge of the box he makes sure he jumps into the box and that challenge on the keeper was nasty - studs up, high - if that was an outfield player catching someone that high and late, a very good chance it would be a red
Zaha should have been booked at least twice before the" penalty" incident and for that he tripped over Mariappa rather than Mariapa tripping him up We lost impetus when Pereya limped off and Hughes was taken off, Palace were as bad a Burney for feigning injuries when we had pressure building on them, surely that is as bad as diving to win free kicks, the worst was in the second half when a Palace defender headed away a cross then collapsed on the floor and the ref stopped play for a head injury The worst two players for us were Daucourae and Richarlison, the sooner they go the better, Chalabah and Delefoe would be much better
I guess it wasn't bad enough for him to come off or Gracia really didn't want to make a change and bring Gray on earlier..
I thought that Deloufeu was only on loan until the end of the season, and I doubt with his foot injury he'll return before then.
As I said, I think Deloufeu is only on loan until the end of the season, so thinking of him in terms of next season is pointless unless we are going to sign him from Barca.
