Time to dust ourselves down, forget it and move on. Our international troupe are not up to rainy nights in the league cup in front of half empty stadiums - it's not what they came here for.

Indeed, hopefully a chance for Mason.

I thought Holebas had learnt but shows what I know...

Fair play to BC a deserved win for them.

Oh dear - how naive of me to expect a good performance!

Cannot think of any positive from that game.

Chalobah, Docourae and Cleverley will not be losing any sleep about their midfield positions.

Deeney was unfit and we made Bristol City look rapid in attack.

No wonder Silva stormed straight down the tunnel..

It was like watching a pre season friendly from a Watford perspective: too many players playing not to get injured for the big match on Saturday rather than for a starting place. As others here have suggested, I don't know why I expected a performance either. Pathetic.

I always thought the Caribou Cup was only for elk trainers anyway. Look on the bright side - it saves us having to listen to the draw at 4am. and find that we've got Doncastel Lovers away <laugh>

If they are saying Success has put on too much weight, Deeney definitely has. Why does he start each season like this?

I think it is probably safe to say Silva will know who can play his style of pressing football and who can't... Not sure Watson and Capoue will get too much of a look in when Dacoure, Chalobah and Cleverley are fit. Imagine they will be subs who come on to protect a lead, just like against Bournemouth. Also may be a little too early for Hughes to be a starter...

We are still in desperate need for a Right Winger and imagine he may push hard for a Left Back this week

Well the rumours are still circulating about Andre Carrillo and Ivan Strinic.
