Watford v Blackburn.

Watford face fellow play-off contendors Blackburn on Saturday hoping for an important win, after letting a two goal lead slip at Reading. The play-offs seem a while away, sixteen games in fact, but there are a lot of teams within reach of those chasing the runaway top two. There are only ten points seperating third and sixteenth in the table. So, there is a lot to play for, but the margin for error decreases with each round of fixtures.

After Blackburn, Watford face Burnley, WBA, then Sheffield United. A tough run of fixtures in the Championship. So, a win against Blackburn, who have faltered a bit lately, would be a good tonic before a hard run of three games to follow. Hopefully, Bilic will have some more players to select from the black hole that is the Hornet's injury list. A good performance is needed to keep the morale up as Watford look to achieve promotion, depsite not really playing many good games all season.

Team news to follow:

"Insert new injuries here."

Hopefully not much !

Why does he think that ?

They have slipped up like us a bit .
Who knows why he thinks that.
In their last 5 games they have picked up 5 points, whereas we've picked up 8 - in that time, we've scored 6 goals to their 3, and conceded 5 to their 7. To date we have scored more goals than them and conceded less - we have a positive GD, theirs is negative.

None of that counts I suppose...

Anyone else got infuriating offspring?
My son in Perth was due to come here yesterday for a week's holiday, but told us yesterday that he couldn't make it.
30 minutes ago he rang to say he's on the train and asked me to pick him up at the station - which I have to do as there's no public transport.
The train arrives at 4:20pm, the station is a 30 minute drive from here - so I'm going to miss the second half.
Knowing my wife, she'll make sure we leave before the half time whistle too....:(
