To an extent I agree. Some of our visibly mediocre players would quite possibly be very useful if they were managed by anyone other than a buffoon. Xhaka, Mustafi and Ramsay being examples of some of those. But you also don't need anything more sophisticated than eyes to easier that some of players are also just rubbish at top level football. Elneny and Welbeck being prime examples of those.
Troy Deeney has kind of summed Arsenal up with his post match assessment. It's having a bit of cojones. Whenever I play against Arsenal, I'll go up and think 'let me whack the first one and see who wants it. I came on today and jumped up with Mertesacker - I didn't even have to jump, actually. I nodded it down, the crowd got up - 'yeah we've got somebody who can win it' - and they all just backed off. For me as a player, I just think 'happy days'. That's my strength - if you're going to let me do my strength against you, you're going to have a tough afternoon We are soft as ****. And when things don't go our way we just seem to retreat into ourselves and let the opposition dominate. When it went to 1-1 yesterday we should have been busting a gut to go and score again, but we just let Watford come at us and we paid the price.
Our CM is clearly an issue and having Cazorla back will transform this team dramatically. We should have had a proper Cazorla replacement from summer.
Wenger has this idealistic idea that everyone will stick to playing football only like purists. This doesn't reflect reality, if a player gets any type of advantage whether it be fair or foul, they will do just that.
That's probably the ultimate insult that you could bestow on us Comparing us to you lot when you were ****. Our whole team and management structure needs a proper shake up. We are just coasting at the moment and far too many people are being given a free ticket to simply be passengers.
In recent years, you are much akin to 80s Spurs. The football can be nice on the eye, some FA Cup wins, but always a "soft underbelly" which means results like the Watford game occur too frequently to make you league contenders. So many are puzzled that Wenger after all this time still has not found a player comparable to Viera to put in CM.
Wenger spent £35m on Xhaka when we could have got Wanyama for £11m. It hurts to admit it, but unfortunately our team is full of players who are too easily bullied.
There is a simple 12 step answer to our problems: Step 1: Get a new manager Step 2: Get a new full back Step 3: Get another new full back Step 4: Get a new central defender Step 5 (d-wayne): Get another new central defender Step 6: Get yet another new central defender Step 7: Get a new holding midfielder Step 8: Get a new attacking midfielder Step 9: Get another new attacking midfielder Step 10: Get Lacazette up to full fitness to last 90 mins Step 11: Get a versatile forward to create a devastating partnership with Lacazette Step 12: Keep Bellarin, Monreal, Ramsay, Koscielny and perhaps Cazorla for squad depth and give P45's to the rest of them. Simples
I would keep: Bellerin, Kos, Monreal, Kolasinac and Holding (for now) Ramsey, Wilshere and Santi (for now) Sanchez, Lacazette and Giroud. We need decent replacements for the rest of this squad and a whole new coaching approach.
New manager and coaching staff which will need a 2-3 year rebuilding process. The first year will be a right off but we should see some progress in years 2 and 3. This isn't about Wenger out but something that has to happen. But our management needs a clear vision and provide appropriate support for this to happen. Not sure they are ready for this. Wenger is the easy option. The entire structure has to be looked at and mass changes need to be made to move into a post Wenger era.
There is no way we'll be able to keep Sanchez, but I agree with keeping Kolasinac. (I forgot about him)
I like Welbeck, but can he ever play more than 2 or 3 games without getting injured. Iwobi I would keep. He's dangerous, he just needs to improve on his finishing.
Now it has been officially decided there is no case to answer, perhaps you and your myopic manager will have the grace to apologise.
I wasn't really hopeful, because there really was no attempt at simulation, it just wasn't a foul. The contact between the two of them was the very epitome of "incidental contact". I can tell you that you will not get any apology from Arsenal fans. We get so many of these soft decisions against us, it is difficult for us to believe that we are not targeted in some way. Part of the reason that Arsenal have no balls is because other teams get red cards and penalties is we breathe on them too hard. It is really difficult to be tough, when you have to avoid any contact with the other side's players.
Come on dude. You've written two completely opposing comments within days of each other. 'Saudi money corruption and all contact being initiated by Richarlison' followed by 'there was no attempt at simulation'. It's not trolling to question what you mean. If even you disagree with your own comments then you must see why almost everyone else does too.
