Just tried again today - only to find that they want me to pay an annual fee for a domain name, whatever that may be

This for those who have a website and want to incorporate it in their name. There is no charge otherwise.

Also on Xwitter, which is as toxic as it can be... and I am now as acerbic back as I wish, and if they ban me for that then I can't say I'll be bothered. Any excuse will do me.

 

I got the impression that I had to have one - mainly because the system wouldn't let me navigate away without one. And there was no information given on the page as to why or why not.

 

What do they call the Christmas version then!?

I don't have twitter or anything else except FB as without it I would miss news and info from local groups - I wish there was seperate FB for useful groups without the rubbish and incessant advertising which one can never eradicate. I unfriend people who post rubbish and that includes most of my family.

As for content, people should voice their opinions without censure unless what they say is patently illegal.

I notice the Essex police have not knocked on Lineker's door for his non criminal hate comments.... but I am going off topic, sorry.

 

I thought I'd try again - and got a message saying that I need to verify my email address - something they didn't ask of me yesterday.

Now I've got to hunt around...

 

Not sure now, but think all you had to do was agree that the email address was correct.

 

They never asked me to do that yesterday, so did it this morning when the little message appeared.
