More like a light touch . Apparently the Blackburn players told the ref after the game so obviously weren’t that fussed about it at the time .
Ridiculous really. I cant wait for the reverse fixture, when our players complain to the ref after the match that he racially abused them...
Not the one I was thinking about, even less happened in this one But of course there is no agenda against us, no siree
And it took 6 days to sort out compared to the 2/3 weeks for the Preston guy biting the Blackburn player a few weeks ago,.
Apparently that was due to different systems of disciplinary actions. It took longer because of that and that they had to collect evidence.
American takeover in the offing? Watford FC: Crystal Palace owner John Textor lining up Hornets takeover bid
Not sure about American owners, if he did what the guys that bought Man U did and borrowed the money and included it in the accounts then no, but if he bought the club without that and had say £50m to invest in the team, and gave Tom a decent run as manager then it could be good for us
John Textor is trying to get his 45% holding in Palace out, but when he put in a bid for Everton, his fellow investors wouldn't meet his valuation, so that fell through. Palace have a strange setup where all the owners have just the one vote despite the different amounts they have invested. The unifying factor at the club is the Chairman, Steve Parish, who bought it when it was in administration. The multi ownership model clearly doesn't suit Textoi, as before his bid for Everton he was sniffing around Chelsea.
"Have you managed to find out anything about the Textor story Andrew?" "Club saying nothing and, to be fair, there have been more of these possible bidders in the last two years than have reached the public domain. Not getting excited yet, put it that way!"
Watford FC is delighted to confirm that centre-back Mattie Pollock has signed a new multi-year contract with the Hornets. The 23-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a deal which runs until the summer of 2029, with the club also having the option of a further year.
Made excellent progress this season (probably jinxed it though!) and like Baah, Georgi won't be sold easily if we ever need to.
