Well that lead didn't last long - poor defending from Scotland too.

Quite an entertaining game for a friendly. Speed of the French is undoing Scotland.

Gave up at half time in favour of following the Australia v New Zealand friendly. Odd watching Australia with two St.Mirren and two Hibernian players in the side.

    Australia leading 2-0.

    Correction - Australia won 2-0

What is all this about 20-30 million that we could have spent in the summer but Ismael didn’t want to ?

    Surely that cannot be right.

Has anyone read the Athletics story on Manga? Wondered if it gave a different version to what we have heard so far?

I think this article confirms the statement by VI on his remit and influence on the new road Watford are now travelling

Manga and co appear to have been an unaffordable extra layer of management which was also unsuccessful

Maybe Gino has at last seen the light and has realised that the full blown Italian version of player and management recruitment does not work in English football unless you are owned and financed by an oil rich Arab state

As long as we finish in the top half of the table and recruit the right players in the next two windows we should be able to enjoy our football AND our club once again

Seems are going back to what it was before Manga came in which wasn’t so successful either but maybe we’ll get it right eventually.

    Need to now.

Quite a few are calling for Ismael to go or he is basically a lap dog to the Pozzos .

And the Bayat guy keeps getting bad press .

    https://sportwitness.co.uk/pozzo-ju...tford-transfer-player-initiates-legal-action/

Whilst people question how Giaretta still has a job.

All is not well at the Vic it seems and we need improvement quickly.

But do think some have gone OTT with this Manga business - you’d think he was the greatest Scot ever the way he has been spoken about compared to those nasty evil Pozzos and Val “stabbing him in the back “

That article was written in 2018. I think this was about the original problem concerning the Bayat/Watford link.

    Yes sorry just noticed !

    Saw it elsewhere .

Guess it was used/posted to show how long Bayat has been an issue at the club.

Lot of ill feeling now towards the manager which is sad - how many times can we keep demanding a change after a few weeks ?

He has almost been too honest about his role in Manga going and recruitment role really leading to criticism as the signings haven’t worked out (yet )

It feels like a very toxic and disunited club and fanbase now unfortunately.

You almost feel scared to voice an opinion (not here ..) without being jumped on or being accused of not being a proper fan .

Norwich and Ipswich home games on Sky .

Both still Tuesday but 20:00 kick off for Norwich .

Why are people so keen for us to get into trouble?

Most of the people complaining don’t believe anything that is said anyway !

They did have a fans forum earlier this season tbf but not everyone turned up so probably thought why bother !

I mean let’s be honest - probably wouldn’t be very very pleasant one either at this stage .

A heavy defeat for the women's team - 5-2 at Birmingham. That's five League defeats in a row.

Gino mustn't be in charge of hiring/firing - if he was, the HC would be gone...

We seem to have had 3 memorable wins over the years on this day.

    And a few goals !

“A year ago was THE 4-0 home win, two years ago the 5-2 at Goodison, but Oct 23 is probably best remembered as Gary Porter day after he scored the hat-trick in the 4-3 comeback win against Bolton 30 years ago today”

Kind of remember the last one but don’t think it was actually there !

Hope this isn't an omen for tonight's game in Wales - the U21s are trailing 1-2 in their PDL match against Cardiff with 15 minutes left to play.

Late goal from George Abbott sees the final score 2-2. Bottom-placed Cardiff will be the happier of the two teams.
