i honestly don't think that the 'doing better' applies - the results under Edwards may have been better but the football being played was awful (from memory). VI has taken on a hard job - not only too improve results but to improve the style of play - the players seem to be struggling a bit at the moment with a new coach & new system, but have shown glimpses of how good they could be when they familiarise themselves with both. It all takes time, something which past coaches haven't been allowed - with any luck this one is being allowed that time.
Apparently we have lost a backroom staff member to Wolves - Woody Dewar, head performance analyst and scouting co-ordinator since 2021. Given our performances over the last two years his loss may be no bad thing.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Ryan Porteous has been selected in Scotland's squad for the games against France and Spain. Perhaps surprisingly, there's a Luton player in the squad too. I feel sullied...
There are some right knobheads out there. I see Sir Luther has taken one of them, "uncle ron", to task. Quite right too. Absolute bell end!
There's another one who's almost just as bad - calls himself Ed. I've blocked them both- along with a few of their lesser acolytes. What they get from their constant verbal diarrhoea is anyone's guess - but I just don't need to see it.
I know we haven’t been great recently but some do come across as a bit entitled since we were in the PL. Had a sniff of that so now nothing else isn’t enough. Sure give constructive criticism and having an opinion is good but some do get a bit tiresome One minute it’s good we are keeping this manager - the next it’s let’s get rid of him (only if the Pozzos do it then they will be criticised) And some expect that if we we get new owners things would suddenly improve and we’d have a great team .. Unfortunately doesn’t work so simply like that guys .
Think people have missed the point here ? They are probably talking about homophonic and racist behaviour being allowed and not reported rather than just bad behaviour pet say. Surely the club wouldn’t ban fans for a few swear words !
Do other clubs do this? It sounds like a sensible idea aimed at combatting unacceptable behaviours at football matches - behaviours which are still commonplace judging by media reports. The fact that someone views reporting them as 'grassing up' suggests a troubled mind - someone who possibly indulges in such behaviours himself. A few years ago the Scottish government introduced the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act in an attempt to stop sectarian chanting and associated violence - mostly at Old Firm games. The outcry in the media and in parliament was ridiculous, and it eventually led to the act being repealed. Guess what - the chanting and violence is worse than ever. I'll never understand some people.
