No ! However the £2.5m plus player would be worth considering! Maybe throw in both players plus the money!

Steady on Al, think about it both proven players at this level a bit more off the debt ! If DG was worth £3.5m then £2.5 plus 2 players! wouldnt be a bad deal!

Then when Agent Sordell doesnt do well like Agent Priskin we bring them back on the cheap!

Watfords Sordell looks set to sign for Ipswich Town but not at the price previously reported, Sordell the 5ft 10in Watford academy player will sign on thursday for a fee of 1.5 million plus Tamas Priskin. Shortly after to follow Sordell into the "Dads Army" will be the suprise winger which is reported to be Jobi McAnuff who this season will be highly remembered for his brilliant goal in the play-off semi final against cardiff. McAnuff seems to be set to leave the royals as Brian Mcdermot is trying to sign preston winger Keith Treacey who was another town target.

In other news Ipswich agree fee for Luciano Civelli with Southampton as manager Nigel Adkins looks to improve his squad ready for the championship. Luciano Civelli is yet to have a start under Paul Jewell as hes struggled to regain fitness from his very severe knee injury.

Jason Scotland has been linked with many clubs which include Swansea, Sheffield wednesday, Brighton and barnsley although Paul Jewell has confimed he has recieved no bids for the big trinidad and tobago striker.

one would suspect that would be difficult as of 20 mins ago he was still in France!!

Just catching up. We can see who has been working and who hasn't this afternoon.

I admire your sentiments Hornette. It is all to do with pacing oneself. :)

He is a keen football fan and is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.[18] In 1987 he suggested to Irving Scholar the Spurs Chairman that Tony Berry be appointed to the board.[19]

In 1991 he helped Terry Venables raise the last £500,000 needed to purchase shares in the club.[19]

He was also involved in the transfers of Rio Ferdinand from Leeds United and Louis Saha from Fulham to Manchester United.[19]

He is heavily involved with Everton Football Club due to his friendship with chairman Bill Kenwright, but has no intention of formally investing in the club.[20] He arranged for another friend, Planet Hollywood's owner Robert Earle to purchase shares from former director Paul Gregg during a struggle for control of Everton in 2004.[21] He offers business advice to the club alongside Tesco CEO Terry Leahy and helps negotiates player transfer fees with agents.[22]

Sir Phillip Green is also involved with Watford Football Club due to his friendship with Watford chairman L. Bassini. He is due to help them redevelop Vicarage Road.

Is this the power behind the throne?

I believe that he owns very little. His wife owns just about everything and she lives in a tax haven.

Did I say tax haven? Didn't we have a previous owner who used one to his best advantage?
