Another forgotten man - not having a particularly good loan period in Germany. perhaps he could come back here for at least a month, given our current injury crisis. Watford plans for player ‘unclear’ - Club ‘would like to end’ current deal with Hornets - Sport Witness
I've not been at the races footballing wise recently. Was disconnected on the coast and kind of missed the last 3 games. Transfers: We've got a young Canadian midfielder in, a RB in Ferreira, and Martins (work permit permitting.) These might be good in the future. Fixtures: 7th Jan Reading (a) in the FA Cup, Bilic has to rest as many as he can and put some teenangers out there. **** this game off. 14th Jan Blackpool (h) (Blackpool are currently in 22nd) 21st Jan Rotherham (h) (21st) These two seem winnable before a very tough run. 28th Jan Boro (a) (5th) 4th Feb Reading (a) (13th) 11th Feb Bburn (h) (3rd) 14th Feb Burnley (a) (1st) 18th Feb WBA (h) (9th) 25th Feb Sheff Utd (a) (2nd) Sure, these are current league positions, but basically after this run, we'll know if we can be in and around the playoffs / autos or just mid table. I think this window is so important. We need a few players in as well, I think it was Yorkie who posted it. But, our injury list is horrific. There are 20 games to play until the final game on the 6th May. 5 odd a month. Moving onto the final straight nearly. What do you all think?
Even if the work permit issue for Martins is sorted, he'll miss around five of those games - may be back in time for the one at Burnley. Ferreira is an unknown quantity really - may be 'one for the future' or may be a dud like so many others have been. Kone the Canadian sounds the best bet out of those three. February is the toughest month - lord only knows who/how many we'll get in/offload before then, but it's probably far too early for the return of our key injuries - Louza, Cleverley, Davis, Pedro etc. barring a miracle, I suspect we can kiss this season goodbye already - but you never know, the fact that we're still hanging on to a play off spot is a miracle in itself.
A story about Mo Johnston in the wobbly: https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...tic-rangers-star-mo-johnstons-watford-career/ He was a great finisher but I think a bad influence on the other younger lads. He and George Rilley drank like fish! Reckon that is why GT got rid so quick.
I think the final straw with Johnston was the rumours about him selling stolen football shirts And Riley was about rumours of drug taking
I wonder if Nantes have done this this due to Bayat’s court case coming up ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...okered-watford-deals-now-marginalised-nantes/
On Instagram Cleverley, Louza and Chaudhury playing darts. They have no casts and moving well so hopefully are back in training https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnCm9JaIxJ5/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Agree with you re the 7th Jan game. 2nd Watford Cub Scouts can represent us as far as I am concerned, because this is such an extraordinary injury situation we find ourselves in while in a parlous financial position. Sorry, Gino, I was a big fan, and I’m sure you understand the finances of our club better than me, but the current level of debt is very worrying from where I sit. I also worry if we are to depend on a couple of players who have been extremely weak recently. There have been many heroes, let’s not forget (many examples, but for instance, Gaspar at Norwich was amazing), but any sort of promotion push can only be serious if the effort is total and universal. No passengers.
Interesting, but puzzling, comment from SB about Hause - makes you wonder why he's still here. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-reason-solution-watford-injuries-says-bilic/
Some suggestions we want to send him back but Villa won’t take him !? We knew Hause was recovering from a knee injury so Villa are probably saying we took a risk knowing he wasnt fully fi
