How did it sound? - Probably pretty downbeat as they all seemed to like Edwards as a person and to talk with but got to give Bilic a chance. That includes everyone from fans, players and maybe most importantly owners/board room members! He seems pretty open and honest himself and talks to the media well.
He came across as being in two minds - like a lot of others really. Worried about the image of the club due to the constant change of coaches, but understands why it happened. I didn't listen to it all as I found him very hard to follow as a speaker - similar style to Bojo in that he kept going off on a tangent and used too many 'ahhs & ums'.
Bachmann saying the players didn’t work hard enough . Sounds sadly very familiar.. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...contributed-edwards-downfall/#comments-anchor
He's not wrong with his overall assessment - and what he says is something that Gino should be taking note of too. Journeymen/inexperienced coaches rarely bring success these days.
Maybe as they can be inflexible lacking the nouse to change tactics but then 2 very experienced managers didn’t work out either last season. Was that because the players weren’t keen on them and their tactics/formation etc?
Good question really - am not sure where Kwadwo Baah would fit in at the moment, so maybe a loan elsewhere? Comment: Watford should recall player from European loan amid limited game time - The72
An insightful interview which probably confirmed comments here that the system being used didn't really suit the available players. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ad-coach-bilic-picked-formation-suit-players/
He obviously saw in a day or so what we had been seeing for 6 or 7 games and acted on it, and it worked Interesting comments about Sarr we may see the Liverpool Sarr a bit more often this season I am hoping the number 10 he talks about is the actual number 10 Joao Pedro He obviously likes Sema so will be interesting when everyone is fit
Unfortunately has been an issue for years . Is it the training or recovery process as a lot get re- injured too ? Particularly with muscle issues . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23025748.watford-head-coach-bilic-concerned-injury-numbers/
Makes you wonder if the money invested in that cryotherapy chamber was a worthwhile investment - or if it is still being used.
I was talking about this today. It was definitely at the training ground last season. I don’t know about now, though.
Sounds like Louza might be in trouble if this is true and held up ? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport.../swansea-city-news-watford-complaint-25204143
I guess they'd need video evidence to back up his claim - or an admission from Louza. The ref did nothing so either ignored or didn't see the alleged incident. Being spat at and spat on are two different things - every player on a football pitch spits, so the action could easily be misconstrued. If Louza's spitting is anything like his shooting, there's every likelihood that he wasn't aiming at anyone anyway.
I was looking at our results in the 2014/15 promotion season and Jokanavic lost 4 in a row at the start of his spell as manager. Wonder what the reaction of fans was then and how did he survive such a run of results ? I don’t think Bilic would now !
