We are all making far too much of this. This most recent quote is just an answer to post match questions and it's factual isn't it? All players must work hard and earn their spot shouldn't they? After Wolves Cisco stated clearly he was going for experience to get balance and that's what he did. Then v Stoke Sierralta did not have a good game so up to now, no reason to put him straight back in. The fact Cathcart then has a poor game v Newcastle then puts everything back in the mix.
If Cathcart played well no one would really mind. Sierralta didn’t start the season either so obviously isn’t an automatic first choice as some might expect .
It seems we need a big beast of a centre half that can feast on strikers Or play three at the back with two attacking wing halves, but that would then mean only two out of six forwards playing at any one time which would limit our scoring options even more Still thanks to the Palace keeper faking an injury and then miss kicking a clearance Brighton have kept us in 12th place with a last gasp equaliser Karma
Ismaïla Sarr has been nominated for September's EA SPORTS Premier League Player Of The Month award! You know what to do. https://plpotm.easports.com/
We can confirm Peter Etebo is expected to be out for between four to five months with a torn quad muscle.
Ouch!!! not properly warm/stretched before that lung-busting recovery run at the weekend?? shame, could have been a key player for us this season
Zinckernagel played as the lone centre forward for Forest last night and got motm apparently. 1 goal, 1 assist and 100% of 3 shots on target. Clearly more versatile than I thought.
No, he was in his last year, subject to how he played we would sign him or he would get a better deal elsewhere. We have the better rehab facilities I'm sure.
My Stoke supporting friend says that Etebo didn't want to play for Stoke. They bought him with hopes of getting into EPL. When that didn't materialise he wanted out.
That freezing cryogenic thingy is still at the training ground - I thought that was the reason we (with Leicester, who also had one) had the joint best injury record in our first (?) season back in the Prem. I don’t know what has happened there, but a torn quad is pretty bloody extreme, it seems to me.
Theres probably a shortage of the gas used in them... Torn quads can be bloody painful too. I tore one years ago and particularly had trouble sitting down - and then trying to stand up again. Spent a small fortune on physio treatment - and many a Friday afternoon hooked up to some sort of electric pulse machine, which didn't do any good at all. I couldn't run, cycle or drive - had difficulty even getting into a car - eventually healed it by walking everywhere.
Lots of talk Munoz will go . Well given our next run of games hope any new manager is given time ! He’ll need it. I agree last 2 games haven’t been good tactics wise though being outplayed by Leeds and probably more worryingly Newcastle. But a new manager doesn’t mean we will stay up and improve .
