07 Jul 2011 16:31:24 Huddersfield Manager Andy Cole set to quit the club and join Watford as a player. Graham Taylor has made him realize he still has the scoring touch and Watford badly needs a Striker with quality to replace Danny Graham. I'll have some of what he is smoking!!! 07 Jul 2011 13:26:27 Striker Troy Deeney IS heading to Oldham on loan. Watford have made offers to three unnamed strikers according to the London Evening Standard. And another one!!! These sites may not be any cop but they are always good for a laugh.
I think it has gone downhill in the last week or so, before then they were sort of silly but now they are totally ridiculous and unbelievable!
There does seem to have been some poster changes...lol..i'm sure some cheeky people from here are getting up to mischief
Sorry folks but I'll be glad when the real season gets underway - these rumour sites are worse than the News of the World
I will hold my hand up and admit the Razvan "Roland" Rat rumour was indeed a figment of my imagination. However, that is the only one I have had posted succesfully. Believe me, I have tried to post some more "rumours", but they have not been added (which is surprising considering the dross that is published!). I attempted to post: After learning Watford FC expressed a vague interest in Tony Yeboah in 1991, Cardiff City Manager, Malky Mackay, is prepaired to stump up 97% of his transfer budget to sign the powerful 47 year old striker Carles Puyol has indicated he is ready to take a step down from top-flight football, with Watford FC in pole position to land the 33 year old World Cup winning defender Alfredo Di Stefano is considered to be the natural replacement to Danny Graham, and will complete a multi million pound move to Watford FC during the week. I can't believe none of these "made the grade".
This just came up on my Facebook .... not sure who predicted it but makes interesting reading http://life.hereisthecity.com/2011/07/08/championship-predictions/
Latest offering; 08 Jul 2011 12:32:03 Watford in discussions with (all at various stages so some will not happen) David Connolly Kevin Phillips (doubtful) Chris Basham Thomas Cruise Rubin Rochina Zavon Hines (loan) Barry Douglas How many realistic? Thomas Cruise - out of contract, so as long as Arsenal don't want a 'development' fee, could be realistic left back who can also play centre back. Kevin Phillips - as it say, doubtful as looks like he may be joining Blackpool David Connolly - would we want him back? Rubin Rochina - I assume this would be on loan as doubt Blackburn would sell him, but if Bas is right in saying he wants 2 permanent signings, I doubt this is anywhere near true
I wouldn;t have thought so either... but then if he starts banging the goals in, I'm sure all will be forgiven...
