It seems that Colchester are thinking about their fans more than Watford are... Watford won the first of two behind-closed-doors friendlies against them 2-1 this morning, but haven't released any information about the match (that I can find) - Colchester at least posted their teamsheet, the score and their scorer on Twitter. Second match kicks off at 3:00pm and Colchester will update on Twitter after it finishes.
Not in communication though - still no news from the club on who played or who scored. Or even that we were playing...
No does seem strange. Anything to hide? Ah there was but on the website . “The Hornets’ first-team squad gained crucial minutes in two training ground matches against Colchester United today. In the first of the 60-minute games at London Colney, Watford ran out 2-1 winners thanks to Isma*la Sarr’s penalty and a Dapo Mebude goal. Alan Judge was on target for the visitors. A new line-up of players then defeated Hayden Mullins’ Colchester 2-0 in the second match, with Cucho Hernández and Dan Gosling among the goals”

It seems that January could be a troublesome month for us thanks to AFCON - potentially losing nine players. https://lastwordonsports.com/football/2021/07/20/watford-among-clubs-most-impacted-by-afcon/
Watford are preparing to clear out some of their attacking options, after bolstering their squad early in the transfer window. Stipe Perica, Isaac Success and Andre Gray could all join Adalberto Penaranda in heading out the door in the coming weeks, as the club look for options for their surplus forwards. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...k-move-stipe-perica-isaac-success-andre-gray/
All had your two jabs? It looks like you may need them... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...end-autumn-matches-infection-rates-high.html?
A rather inauspicious start for the U23s tonight - lost 5-0 at Bromley. Bromley had Adam Parkes in goal - on loan from us.
