I have not seen any statistics about how often Watford conceded possession in their own final third, but I have the impression that defenders such as Troost-Ekong often gave the ball away even when they were not being pressed. I think that statistics can be a useful aid, but I suspect that they do not reveal the full picture. WhoScored's Championship team of the season is based on each Championship player's average rating during the season. It seemed surprising that not a single Watford player featured in the WhoScored's Championship team of the season (published on Sky Sports), although Watford had achieved automatic promotion.

Yeah what has Deeney ever helped Watford achieve apart from Two promotions Two FA cup semi finals One FA cup final Four good years in the Prem And putting his own health on the line Apart from that nothing I hope he has at least one year left in his locker or maybe two, maybe not as the main man and maybe not first team captain but as someone to help bring on and develop the younger forwards and show what playing for your club really means
