Another piece of my past and memories dies. Johnny Williams, aged 73. His 419 outings place him ninth in the club’s list of all-time appearance makers, including the 1968/69 promotion campaign and the club’s first ever FA Cup semi-final in 1969/70. RIP

Sad news - he was never a spectacular player, but solid and dependable - always one of the first names on the team sheet. An important part of our 'W' history - Walker, Welbourne, Williams,Walley...

Watford FC is pleased to confirm the signing of Under-23 midfielder Henry Ochieng.

Having spent time at West Ham and Leyton Orient's academies, Ochieng made his senior debut for the O's in November 2016.

The 22-year-old has since featured for Braintree Town, Welwyn Garden City, Wingate & Finchley and was most recently with Cork City in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Ochieng, who is capped by Kenya Under-23s, has signed until the end of the season.

Looks like we won't be seeing Perica for a while. With Success still on the injury list as well, Murray about to leave, Gray being Gray and none of the U23s apparently good enough to step up, I'm surprised we haven't at least attempted a short term loan - or maybe we have and it hasn't been reported?

Apparently so...
But to be honest he hasn't exactly lived up to the glowing opinions of United and their fans - a disappointment to put it mildly.

 

Sorry he's going but he has not really lived up to expectations. Hardly Class of 92 material but I think he's got something but he has fallen short thus far.

 

No point in keeping someone who isn't going to get games.

Might as well get another player in.

 

Maybe he is going to QPR?
