Those saying that are either telling porkies or have poor memories. The run in at the end of my first season, 1962/63 - 12 points out of a possible 40 was the worst run and some of the worst football I've ever seen, but I thankfully never saw the 1971/72 season when in one spell we managed four points out a possible 38.

Like most, they probably just have to learn where to dive - you only get penalties if you do it in the penalty area, and even then not always. I was really surprised yesterday at the number of times Preston players fell over after minimal contact and were awarded free kicks - all over the pitch really, except for where it matters. I began to think we were playing a team of fainting goats - or 11 Quinas... As for those Stoke fans demanding that clubs be fined and six match bans for players - how deluded are they? Far worse happens on the pitch that doesn't attract that level of punishment - they should know as Stoke used to be one of the biggest culprits. And don't start me on the idiot who wants games to be refereed by computer...
