QPR away friendly announced https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/pre-season-qpr-away-confirmed Does anyone know who we are lined up to play against, and when for GT Day?
Our new striker (well in January) seems to be making his mark in Brazil. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...g-joao-pedro-scores-hat-trick-for-fluminense/
So much so that by the time he comes to us he could be so hot we sell him for 20 or 30m without seeing him! incidentally, could he and Coucho play together or are they similar positions? Are either of them capable of playing well one up top?
Lovely article on the official site that will bring back some memories. https://www.watfordfc.com/club/history/twenty-years-ago-ciaran-cosgrave
Juan Camilo ‘Cucho’ Hernandez scored a hat-trick for Colombia tonight in the Under 20s World Cup. Could he be a star of the future for us?
Much work going on at the Vic, particularly in the corners and both screens gone, apparently to go up above the stands at each end of the ground.
Ah, the great old planning system. Who will win, club or neighbours? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/n...nt-to-keep-inflatable-dome-up-all-year-round/ Be a bit of a let down if there is no permission.
Hoban and Britos going with maybe Gomes joining them. No great surprise - Hoban has had really bad luck with injuries and Britos wants to return home.
Just seen the Britos ‘tackle’ on Knockaert again. Got to be one of the worst challenges I’ve ever seen. Good luck Miguel and Tommie.
... from an Uruguayan... his predecessors would be mortified that knockaert actually got up and walked let alone played on for the rest of the match...
Seriously though, best of luck to both players. Hope Tommy makes the grade following injury and Miguel finds success and favour in his twighlight playing days. I suspect he'd make a decent coach.
Shame for the lad - hopefully be fit for the new season. Might get more of a chance? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...to-penaranda-out-of-copa-america/?ref=mr&lp=4
Am I the only one concerned at the small erosions into our heritage? I know we will get the chance to vote to keep our badge, but that change is being considered worries me a little. So far the changes I have noticed...Very little red in our kit, Z-cars, now the badge...I like our badge, I think it is unique and I like that other fans have to ask why our badge is as it is, it gives me an opportunity to inform them a bit about our great club Maybe I am just a soppy traditionalist, but I don't want to change the identity that we have had since I first watched a game in 1978
I feel the same..... I can just about handle the seasonal kit changes... . but Z cars and the badge??? Sacrilege
I have never been that fond of Z Cars, now in my 50th year of becoming a regular supporter. I always thought it was a bit weedy. But I don't like to see the badge change, and don't like the red having a very minor role in the kit.
No absolute objection to losing Z-Cars. Still too neverton for me. I have no objection to changing the club crest. I think that, colour scheme aside, it is not representative. I would very much prefer to see more red in our kit design. Wasps are generally black and yellow only, occasionally all black. Hornets are more distinguishable with chestnut brown / deep red bodies and legs, some with red areas added in to the generally black and yellow abdomen.
