Been reading up on the goings on with this saga. You have to feel sorry for the fans who have no say, but I cannot believe that this man could have been anything but the final nail in the coffin for the club. The current owner seems to be little better, and the only obvious outcome for them now is to appoint administrators.
Capoue out of the Chelsea game with a groin strain - hopefully nothing serious! https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/team-news-chelsea-1
There are currently 3 former WFC managers with clubs in the PL - am I right in thinking that's a first?
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-speaks-about-tough-battle-to-regain-fitness/ Could be a "new" signing next season.
Thought he had a very good game indeed on Sunday considering the amount of time he's not been involved at all.
Watford are still hopeful of persuading Heurelho Gomes to stay at the club, despite the goalkeeper saying he was 99 per cent sure he would be retiring. The Brazilian has been an important part of the Hornets' FA Cup campaign that has seen them reach the final for the first time in 35 years. Thursday evening's awards ceremony saw Players' Player of the Year Ben Foster use his speech to issue a plea to Gomes to stay at the club a bit longer and head coach Javi Gracia echoed those sentiments ahead of Watford's final game of the season against West Ham.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48282292 Cup related but the article goes much deeper than that, so I put it here. It is a good read.
interesting article about digital and financial growth: http://www.cityam.com/277754/watfords-digital-overhaul-has-helped-fa-cup-finalists-keep
That is interesting Chris, and I see how the club have changed their output. As someone who doesn't make much use of social media I am not the best person to comment, but I did watch the post match interviews with players.
There is good content on the twitter thread and the official website. Funny one of Holobas this week reading out bad tweets from opposition or Watford fans!
Watford have had a £7million bid for Reims striker Remi Oudin rejected, according to reports. The Sun is claiming that both the Hornets and Newcastle United are chasing the striker dubbed 'the new Van Persie', but that an initial bid from Watford has been turned down. The 22-year-old scored ten goals for the Ligue 1 side this season and the Sun report that the French side want at least £10m for his services.
Do we believe the Sun or not then? I guess we do need to look for strikers but sure if they wanted 10 million we wouldn't then offer 3 million less!
Not been on his best form in recent weeks but well done to Pereyra for his call up: https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...med-in-argentinas-copa-america-squad/?ref=rss
