Deeney appeal turned down, so he misses the next three matches.

Capoue was disqualified from driving for three months and fined £1,666. He was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £166. He was clocked travelling at 116mph. Not that fast then. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Only a 3 month ban for driving over 100 miles hour-ridiculous.Should have been tried in a Luton Court, and made to play in goal for 3 games . Not meant to be a dig at you Ben Foster.

Just because I seem paranoid it doesn't mean they're not out to get me!

I know that the Nest is not the place for politics, but why do we always view this as a petty crime ? Driving at this speed should be seen in the same catagory as being in possession of a deadly weapon - which is the closest parallel. We need fewer cars on the roads anyway so why not start by throwing licences away completely for this type of offence ?

He could have been fined a maximum of £2,500, so I guess he didn't endanger others.

But that’s not the real story here. In 2016-17, Marco Silva had a hand in getting Hull to the top of the ineptitude index and, last season, he helped inspire Watford to top the list. This year, he’s made a good fist of getting Everton up there too. That takes some doing. No wonder Farhad Moshiri was so keen to splash the cash. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

In Germany on the motorway this wouldn't be breaking the law would it?
    Not that I'm condoning it.

This is, unfortunately, the case Chris, and I would start by throwing most German driving licences away <laugh>

Tailgating is a far worse thing than speeding on a relatively clear motorway. Still, the law is the law and whilst I find motorway speed limits to be archaic they are there for good reason. 90mph is a reasonable top limit but 116mph is daft: the vast majority of drivers are incapable of controlling their vehicle at that speed, moreso accommodating those that can.

Unfortunately many German drivers regard speed limits as being an interference in their human rights Chris - almost in the same way Americans regard gun controls. When will people realize that car driving is a privilige, whereas access to affordable public transport is a right. The thing which pisses me off is how many cars only have one person in them, which, in our times of heightened environmental consciousness, is criminal in itself. In cases where speeding involves passengers as well, then I would also punish them as being accessory to the crime.
