Awful lot of codswallop on the Wobby comments, t'was ever thus, questioning his attitude, ability, temperament, commitment and so on when all he needs is a few weeks off to properly recharge and then hopefully his form, decision making and finishing will return. He does still need to prove himself on the pitch. I thought his comments were candid and brutally honest. Seriously, who'd want to live in your average Brazilian city? What with the price of a life almost worthless, kidnappings, gangs and all the rest? This is what he is afraid of, and why he wants to be able to "buy out" of any given situation.

Not the brightest interview to give I guess. Maybe some people forget that because of the internet, remarks cross countries very quickly.

 

Gomes wants to be an agent when he retires. I wonder what has been said between the two and what has got back to the manager. That said, reading the interview through, it's another media / keyboard warrior brewed storm in a tea cup.

Only if he thinks he will get the backing from the club to push us closer to Europe and then a bigger club than Real Sociedad will come calling

 

Gracia has said Gomes did have a personal issue so hadn't trained last week and he only wanted to pick players who had been in all week.

Also said Gomes was told and understood it so maybe there was a mis-understanding or Javi just wanted to not make an issue of it.

 

Chalobah has been training with England according to the WO.
