Trying to be pozzotive, surely can win 3 (or 4) and draw 1 (or 2) of the below remaining fixtures: Stoke (a) West ham (a) WBA (h) Bmuff (h) Burnley (h) Hfield (a) Palace (h) Geordies (h) ,can't we?
https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/treatment-room-1 Injury updates. I can't decide whether this good news is the result of Silva leaving or Javi arriving.
Its all down if we have two fit from 3 Tom Will Nathan or find a striker that hits the net ,or a a C back that stops them .If we solve all 3 problems then i think top 6 next season If we dont solve at least one of them then we could go down (and dont start me on goalkeepers )
I thought we could get a good total from: Huddersfield H Brighton A Leicester H Swansea A Southampton H But we only got 4 points and the only win probably came in the hardest looking match on that list.
Apart from Man C on our day we can beat anyone the way we are playing now everyone can and will most likely beat us .Im not looking forward to sat
Creating a "B team" it seems. To supplement the First team and Under 23s. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...-young-players-in-hornets-first-team/?ref=rss Might mean we enter the Checktrade trophy and play Luton at some point maybe!
Merson reaches a new low, silly chap. Paul Merson Column: Silva Hard Done By, Barkley Ruins Hazard, Leicester Need Fa Cup Run
Changed his tune hasn't he somewhat! Even says we're on a slippery slope (after saying we are 10th..) and yes the players ought to take some of the blame but you cannot sack them and as Merson points out Silva hadn't got the best out of them. All since Everton came calling so there is a link and maybe we should have taken the dosh but easy to say in hindsight.
It is amazing how the "who do they think they are - they're 10th and it never gets better" comments are often even in the same bloody sentence as "they're only six off the drop". We know. At the risk of being accused of stereotyping, they operate a Serie A type model and that means often lining the new manager up before the new one has even cocked up. It's different - it isn't a crime though. And it works for us at present so cobblers to them... At the risk of stereotyping again, a lot of the press would not like us if we had 11 born and bred English players in the team and an English board and managers. Because we are southern and, to plenty of observers, London... Too many in the mainstream press still think the game should only be northern - in my opinion.....
Football punditry must rank as one of the most unnecessary occupations anyone ever dreamed up....about as much use nowadays as lamp-lighters or gallows manufacturers. For some years now I've taken to watching all televised football with the sound muted...far less irritating! As for Mr Merson, I taught him briefly in Greenford and he appears to have learned little since!
A very positive article on the Pozzos and how many a club would want owners like them.. https://beta.footballwhispers.com/blog/uncomfortable-truth-watford-owner-many-love
Now we only have to work out how to spread this message to pundits, media and brainless fans of other clubs...
I actually think a lot of opposition fans thought it made sense (if you don't read the other 606 site) but the press and pundits just saw us as being 10th and thought it was mad. Maybe our players stand around too much due to delays in the matches which causes all these issues. Well that was Pardew's excuse for 2 of his getting muscle injuries!
