Makes for a very Happy new Year. What's not to like - Deeney back scoring, Success & Cathcart fit again? Time to kick on...
Drat! That eight goal haul could have kick started our season. Udinese's recent run of good fortune started with them scoring 8 in an Italian Cup match...
I am a big Deeney fan, he has to convince me the 2nd half of the season mind that his time is not coming to an end.
Don't often get to see this - might not agree but at least it gives an understanding of why Troy was sent off and the appeal being rejected. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp..._for_opposing_Deeney_appeal_revealed/?ref=rss
https://carlingtap.carling.com/goal-of-the-month/2018-12 December's Carling Goal of the Month voting - Doucoure's strike against Huddersfield is one of the contenders, and will probably need a lot of help...
Been quite the month for spectacular goals, voted anyway... January already has two contenders already from yesterday!
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....s/watford-injury-news-chalobah-hughes-1018730 Cathcart back but with all the other injuries - on potential return dates, Silva added: "If you ask me when I will have any of these players available I do not have one day to tell you."
Do the medical team even know? Cathcart will probably just be sent out on loan.. The WO today suggested they tried to get him fit over the summer without needing an operation but eventually had to admit defeat..
This would seem to be what has happened to Andy Murray. He tried to get over his hip problem without surgery, but he is not able to play still after six months.
It just shows the frailty of the human body and there is nothing you can do about it. My favourite non Watford player as a kid was Brian Robson - he really played the game you wanted to and, when fit was bloody good at it. But he must have spent more time on the treatment table than the pitch. One of my favourite moments ever was when he came on against Oldham in a semi final. He had been out for months and put in a proper crunching but fair tackle within a minute of being on the pitch. That's what you want from your players. I also hope Murray recovers -must be awful to see your career come to an end. They get ridiculous money but for some it is a passion and it gives us huge pleasure. And Murray never leaves anything on the court - my mum calls him a British Jimmy Connors. Pretty good praise!
Have no idea - but would imagine that they expect everyone to have their own, so doubt it. I've still got three - one for my neck & one for each wrist...
