Bloody wimps - back in the day it was normal to play on consecutive days over the Xmas holidays... Come to think of it, aren't we and Arsenal the last top flight teams to play twice in the space of 24 hours? And we won them both - plus ca change...
Yes there is, or rather there are plenty of places that can make way. However, the demand to supply by the authorities far outstrips the demand for supply by supporters requiring such facilities. That's the problem with putting arbitrary figures on these things, it's an inexact science. And of course Watford will always be shown in the worst possible light by the BBC - even Bassong's driving ban is the lead story on the Watford page FFS!

Was just reading this. A decent, balanced article - maybe Watford are actually winning over some of the critics. Most of the comments aren't too bad either considering it's on the BBC - other than a Luton fan, a Bournemouth fan having a dig plus an Everton fan expecting them to take Silva
I'm actually scratching my head trying to remember where I first read it - apart from a few obvious updates, the bulk of it is very familiar reading...
I worry it is still early in the season to be too excited by a decent start. Feet need to be firmly put on ground. Under the radar is best.
proof if proof were needed that our location near London helps us recruit: Koeman claims France international Giroud, 31, was on the verge of agreeing a move to Goodison Park. "I had Olivier Giroud in the building," said Koeman. "That was hard to swallow." He told Dutch football magazine Voetbal International: "That would have been perfect but he decided he'd rather live in London.
This is the way power has shifted - the money has gone south and relative football power has followed that trend. People want to live near London (not in it) and footballers are only people. The Mancs are holding out against that trend but elsewhere the north is underperforming in football - Merseyside and the West Midlands are not the powerhouses of football which they once were and the same applies to Yorkshire and the North East. Burnley and Huddersfield are bucking that trend a little - for a while. Could we have imagined that we would one day have 3 south coast clubs in the Premiership and only one (provisionally) from Yorkshire - and the same from lancashire.

Cleverley for England? Been suggested Tom might get a re-call for the Three Lions. No worse than some of the other midfielders picked so why not..
