Under 23s lost to QPR 2-1 with quite a few fringe players in the side. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...yers_flounder_in_Under_23_QPR_defeat/?ref=rss
Lets hope the injury to Chalobah isn't as bad as feared.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/watford-sweating-nathaniel-chalobah-second-11235274.amp
Not good news about Chalobah - lost some defensive steel in midfield. Meanwhile saw this on MOTD 2 (About 28 mins in) http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b096pdtn/match-of-the-day-2-201718-24092017
Sorry - the first line was in reaction to the Chalobah news. The Iplayer section is a bit on MOTD 2 talking about how positive we have been even in tricky situations and how Silva has united the squad.
Grim, hope he recovers. We do have cover, but not really DM cover. Watson could do a job mind. Pereyra, Capoue and maybe even Hughes are all available too...
Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but it make for a good coffee break read. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...e-key-watford-transformation?CMP=share_btn_tw
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...y-spot-we-compare-all-20-premier-league-clubs Surprised to see that we have been awarded more penalties than Bournemouth - not surprised to see that our conversion rate is better though. Come to think of it, Wilson was out injured for the best part of a season though...
If Deeney only missed one of his 15 penalties why is he not included in the list of top penalty takers
I assumed it was because he hasn't taken enough. Since 2015/16 we've only been awarded 10 - he's taken them all & missed only 1, giving him a success rate of 90%. The other 5 may have been awarded during previous spells in EPL.
We still don't know who will take penalties when Deeney isn't on the pitch, as we don't have anyone else at the club who has taken a penalty for us.
I don't think so - we didn't get too many that season & I think duties were shared between Graham and Helguson.
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....tack-on-club/story-30522592-detail/story.html The rattle that was thrown out is being well and truly rattled now.
I don't think anyone will be too fussed if he did quit! Are his country close to qualifying for the World cup? Maybe the lack of game time is putting his spot in doubt hence the sudden urge to play football. I suppose you wouldn't want him to just be happy sitting in the stands counting the dough.
He's a professional footballer. £4m last asking price which we paid, 80% of the Chalobah fee and a damned sight more than many of our players. If he's good enough then play him, or at least involve him in the squad. If not: ship him out. This is ridiculous for a regular international. Outrageous. Making us look bad.
