If that is the case it is unlikely he will be in the January squad, meaning him out for the season. A replacement will have to be found.
I would believe that. It thought it seemed a nasty one. He didn't have to roll around, it just looked like a painful jar.
Possibly . I've never done my ligaments badly, but he moved exactly as I did with cartilage trouble. That's as far as I can go medically.
Programme/interview with Troy Deeney on 5live next Thursday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b085hpzp
http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/12/watford-begin-pursuit-of-replacement-for-pereyra/ All gloomy reading... Pereyra out for the season, looking for a €20M replacement...
Watford striker Jerome Sinclair has been linked with a loan move to Brentford. The 20-year-old joined the Hornets this summer in a five-year deal from Liverpool but has been a peripheral figure this season. Sinclair had to wait until last week to make his first start in the defeat at Manchester City. His only other appearance came as an 89th minute substitute at West Brom this month. It seems clear Watford see Sinclair as a player with long-term potential but he remains well down the pecking order in Walter Mazzarri's squad. The forward almost joined Norwich City on loan in August but the move fell through. A loan switch in the January transfer window would appear to make sense for his development and a number of Championship clubs are likely to be interested in the striker.
Roberto Pereyra could return within three months from his knee surgery, according to a source close to the player. The Watford playmaker underwent surgery on his meniscus in Barcelona yesterday and could be back in action by the spring. It has been reported Pereyra would miss the rest of the season but it is understood this is wide of the mark.
Does it mean 3 months in terms of being full match fit though? BTW I thought we had created some sort of plush medical centre with links to local hospitals?
http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/12/watford-not-in-the-running-for-ashley-young/ Confusing - we have one of the oldest squads in the division, yet Ashley 'does not fit the age profile'. Not that I'm complaining...
Very honest and open interview from Troy. Clearly prison turned into a real professional and knew what he had to lose from getting involved in trouble.
Watford will not take any action against mascot Harry the Hornet following his controversial mocking of Wilfried Zaha. The Football Association have also confirmed they will not contact Watford over the incident. Sky sources understand that the Hornets will not be speaking to Harry, acknowledging he is one of the more animated mascots on the circuit, and there will also be no action taken by the FA. They said: "His job is to entertain supporters and he will continue to do so to the best of his abilities." Need him to entertain when the team doesn't, so pleased he will not serve a one match ban.
Somebody did tell me once Harry was a relation of somebody who worked at the club.. All harmless fun really - be different if he'd said something I guess. Also he is a connection between the fans and club - of which there are now very few.
